Omniscient
Que's eyes fluttered open as he felt liquid flowing on his side of the bed. "I know like hell." He mumbled, tapping Sincere.
"What?" Sincere questioned.
"Did you just pee?" He questioned. Sincere frowned, what was he talking about? She'd been out of that faze for two decades.
"No, do I look like I'm five?"
"Sin, the bed is wet."
"That's not pee, I think my water broke."
"Oh shit." Que mumbled. "You want to go to the hospital?" He questioned.
"No, I'm not about to be there all night. We can just wait until I start having contractions close together."
"You sure?" Que questioned, he wasn't trying to deliver his own child. Sincere nodded her head.
"I'm going to go take a shower." Sincere got up from the bed and headed into the bathroom. While she showered Que changed their bedding.
When Sincere got out of the shower she called her parents to let them know that she was likely going to be going into the labor in the next couple of hours. She then called her granny and Que's mother.
Two hours went by before Sincere's contractions began. Her and Que kept track of them, seeing how often they were coming. When they began to come back in shorter periods of time they decided to head to the hospital.
Before exiting the door of their house, Sincere looked at the house from the doorway. The next time they walked through the door it would be with a baby. Sincere sighed, stepping over the threshold, it was time to go have a baby.
When they arrived at the hospital they got Sincere settle in her room then checked her vitals. "Is my blood pressure okay?" Sincere questioned.
"It's higher than we would like, but it's not too bad. We're going to give you something for that."
"Is it going to cause any complications during delivery?" Que questioned.
"We're going to give her some medicine to help bring it down so when it's time to push she'll be fine. But as of right now, her and the baby are fine we're just trying to make sure they stay that way." The nurse explained. Sincere let out a sigh, tears rolling down her eyes.
"Everything's going to be okay, don't cry." Que kissed her forehead. Sincere just nodded her head, hoping he was right. She'd read up on preeclampsia when she was diagnosed with it and she knew that it could possibly result in the baby or the mother losing their life. She was praying that wouldn't be her situation. She couldn't take losing another baby and she didn't want her baby having to be in this world without her.
The nurse left the room to go get some medication, leaving Sincere and Que alone. He kissed her forehead and grabbed her hand.
"You good?" He questioned.
"As good as I'm going to get right now." Sincere sighed. "Is your mom on her way?"
"Yeah, her and your grandma should be here in a few minutes."
"Okay. Can you see where my parents are?" She questioned.
"Yeah." Que called her parents and they were both currently at the airport waiting on their flights.
"They're at the airport, your mom is about to board her plane and your dad's plane doesn't take off for another two hours." Sincere sighed.
"Hey, don't start stressing. They'll get here when they get here. You just focus on getting babygirl here."
