Furinas POV
My alarm went off at 7 a.m. and I woke up feeling like shit, to be honest.
Arlecchino wasn't anywhere and her bed was made, so I assumed she had already headed out for breakfast or for a quick jog.
That was good.
This way she wouldn't see me like this. I truly admired the fact she could start her day this early and be this productive each time. I wish I could pull that off.
I dragged myself to the bathroom where I looked at myself in the mirror.
I looked like atleast three cars had ran over me.
I sighed and washed my face with my usual routine before I applied my usual make-up, hiding any dark circles under my eyes or my worringly pale skin.
"This way no one will ever notice. Just fake it till you make it!" I repeated myself like every other morning, but then I remembered.
Arlecchino heard me last night...
I had been so used to crying myself to sleep that I forgot I wasn't alone now...
What could I possibly say if she questioned me about it?!
It was kind of my fault that I couldn't control myself, and now I had to deal with the consequences.
Goddammit I-
buzz buzz
It was Neuvillette, wishing me a good morning like usual and telling me when he'd be available to talk.
Even though he's extremely busy with work, he always makes time in his schedule to talk to me every day.
Atleast there was something good happening in my life. We texted a while and then it was already time for me to go to classes.
I left my room and he moment I started to reach more crowded hallways people started greeting me and asking me how I was, what I'd had for breakfast and bla, bla, bla.
"Hi!" I replied
"You're all so annoying" I thought
"I'm feeling really good this morning!" I smiled
"I feel like a piece of useless shit"
"I had pancakes" I showed off
"I didn't eat at all. I would probably throw it all up later anyways"
People had also found out that I was now sharing a room with Arlecchino and would ask me every single detail about it, to which I would reply, "We haven't really talked yet. She ignores me like always!" and they seemed to be satisfied with that answer.
After what felt like hours, the bell finally rang, and everyone rushed to get to their classes, including me.
Navia was like always next to my seat, waiting for me and we had some surprisingly nice small talk before the teacher arrived.
As I said before, Navia is a wonderful person. She doesn't deserve to be lied to the way I'm lying to her.
Then, for the thousandth time, the teacher's speech was about this 'archon war' 500 years ago.
"Boring, isn't there anything more interesting to do?!"
I whispered to Navia and she nodded in agreement and rolled her eyes.
Then, after what felt like hours, the bell rang and it was lunctime.
I'd be in the spotlight again...
