Getting to know each other

Arlecchinos POV

I woke up to the sound of the shower running in our bathroom. 

I took my phone and saw the time, 9 a.m., not bad for a Saturday.

I got dressed and shortly after that Furina came out of the bathroom looking way better and refreshed.

"How about we grab some breakfast at the café around the corner? My treat, of course" I suggested as I wanted Furina to feel comfortable around me.

She seemed surprised at my request, but soon a genuine smile appeared on her face and she nodded.

"Yeah, I'd love that!"

We both got ready and headed out of our dorm.

Whenever we walked past someone, they would look surprised or confused. I mean, me and Furina aren't the most typical duo you'd see together outside.

I looked down at Furina to see how she reacted to the situation, but she didn't seem to mind, her bubbly extroverted personality shining through. Whether it was a lie or not, she certainly seemed to lighten the mood.

Once we left campus and passed a few shops we arrived at the café.

There I learned that Furina loved sweet desserts and that her favourite cupcakes were made in the bakery across this street.

I also learned that she loved her coffee with extra milk and whipped cream  and she learned that I loved my coffee black, which she found disgusting but fitting to my personality.

We chatted for a while, well Furina was the one dominating the conversation and she seemed relieved to finally be able to be herself around me.

After the breakfast we both had our own plans, so we split up, yet I was actually looking forward to spend more time together.

I hadn't been that close to a person since Clervie... and they both seemed so alike... maybe that's why I found a certain interest in Furina...

After the breakfast I paid for our food and we headed out, just chatting as if we were friends.

Well, maybe you could consider us so...

"Hey Arlecchino! Let's make a selfie together!" Furina inmidiately pulled her phone out. "Say cheese!" 

As we posed I decided to slightly smile just to make Furina happy, which worked.

"You smiled! You smiled!" She giggled as she zoomed into my face. "You smiled just for me! Look! We seem like those 'black cat' and 'golden retriever' friends" 

I had to actually agree to that.

Furina decided to put that image as her phone background and gods I don't know what was happening to me but she looked so damn adorable.

Soon enough we had to part ways since Furina had made plans with some of the other popular girls, so I decided to use the time to keep studying...

the next day, afternoon...

Overnight I had had this idea, someone might call 'cute' as how to make Furina feel better.

Don't ask me why I suddenly care so much about her, I don't know myself, but it just felt like the right thing to do.

I was basically going to buy her the cupcakes she told me she liked so much and deliver them anonymously

Why anonymously? I don't know. The idea of giving them to her in person made me somehow flustered?  I'm not sure how to put it into words, so I'll stick with the anonymity.
