Silent Treatment

I'm not coming back to this book yet, if at all, but I know I've been absent for a while and it's been helpful to me. I have several books that I am working on but I'm still working to get a good foothold on one of the stories before I start uploading regularly again.

Before I went on hiatus, I said I'd give you the chapters of this story that I'd already written so here they are. Thank you for your continued support.

A week following the girl's first days at school Queen goes on tour until the beginning of December. Alyssia stayed with Chrissie, Lilliana stayed with Veronica and Amelia and Alice stayed with Mary since they both go to the same school it was the easiest arrangement.

When they came back and Christmas passed they worked to finish their second studio album Queen II, which was released in early March 1974.

Now April and feeling like he's barely spent any time with his daughter, Freddie takes Amelia to an ice cream shop nearby.

"Has school been okay, angel?"

"Yep I like learning, specially the music and art lessons and I like being with Jessy."

He smiles glad she's found a good friend, "I've brought you out because I need to ask you something. How would you feel if I proposed to Mary?"

Amelia pauses and frowns, "I don't know what that is."

"To propose means to ask someone to marry you. I want to ask Mary to marry me, to be my wife but if she did she'd become your stepmum. Would you be okay with that?"

"I think so, I like Mary she's mum to me anyway but does this mean I have to move out?"

Freddie frowns this time, "Why would you need to move out?"

"Because you'll have a baby of your own and have no room or time for me."

"Of course, you don't need to move out, your home is with me and always will be. You'll always come first above all else. And if Mary and I have a child in the future, it would be your brother or sister."

Popping a spoonful in her mouth she thinks before answering, "Then yes I'd be okay... Ow! Ow, Ow, Ow," She grips her forehead screwing her eyes shut.

He struggles to hide his amusement, "It's just brain freeze, it will go away in a moment," Once it's gone he chuckles, "Don't take such a big spoonful next time."

Recovering she changes the subject back to the previous topic, "When are you going to ask Mary?"

"I don't know, but soon I hope."

Amelia is spending the day at John's flat with Lilliana because Freddie wants some alone time with Mary. A little after lunchtime while the two girls are colouring, Brian and Roger barge into John's flat.

"Afternoon, girls. Where's your dad, Lil?" Roger questions standing between the two to look at what they're doing.

"Here," John walks into the living/dining room from the kitchen, "Is there a reason for you barging into my flat disturbing what was a very quiet afternoon? How did you get in?"

Brian holds up a set of keys, "You gave me a spare in case I ever needed to drop Lily home from school."

"Now, we have important news," Roger interrupts, "So grab the kids and get in the car, we're going to Freddie's." He finally scraped together enough money to get a car a month back.

"But daddy is busy," Amelia warns them.

"This is important Milly moo, believe me, he'll be fine once we tell him the news."
