When John explained to the band about Lilliana's potential asthma diagnosis they agreed that she should go with them to Rockfield.

What he didn't realise is that Roger, Freddie and Brian all took this as a sign to bring their daughters too.

John's was the last pick-up before leaving for Wales when he got in with Lilliana he tried to suppress a laugh seeing Alyssia, Amelia and Alice sitting at the back of the minivan. Clipping Lilliana into the last seat on the back row he sits beside Freddie, "Does the company know they've tagged along?"

"Nope, but Prenter is meeting us there so he can't exactly send them home once we're there," Roger reasons.

"Besides it seems very unfair for them not to spend any time with us during the summer holidays," Freddie insists, "How's our sweet flower doing, any more asthma attacks?"

"Yes, she had one after running around the play park yesterday and two nights ago she had one during the night after having a nightmare. So over exertion and panic seem to be her main triggers."

"Did the inhaler help?" Brian asks.

"Yes, it did."

------

The four girls slept for most of the journey, Amelia was the first to wake, "Daddy, are we there yet?"

"Five minutes away my angel."

"Dad, Biscuit needs a wee," Alice grumbles playing with Biscuit's fur.

"Almost there Monkey."

"Did she just say, Biscuit?" John frowns, how had he not noticed the golden retriever that had been lying under Alice's feet for most of the journey?

"Couldn't exactly leave him at home alone for a month could I," Roger tuts.

Brian rolls his eyes at the remark, "I'm sure Chrissie wouldn't have minded having him."

"Nooo," Alice pouts, "He's my buddy. I can't be without him for a month, I'd miss him."

Roger gives Brian a pointed look, "That's the other reason."

Pulling into the yard, Roger gets Alice out with Biscuit first and the rest follow, "What are they doing here?" Paul Prenter looks annoyed coming out to greet them, "The whole point of coming here is so you don't have any distractions while recording."

"They won't be a distraction," Brian glares at him.

"Paul, darling, you can't honestly expect them to go without seeing us for the whole of their summer holidays, it just wouldn't be fair. Coming here has stopped us from being able to take them on a proper holiday so this will have to do."

Wanting to stay on Freddie's good side Paul just huffs, "Just come inside I'll show you to your rooms."

They're each shown to their rooms and left to settle in, the girls will have to share beds with their dads but they're only little so they don't take up much room.

------

The band got straight into the studio the day after their arrival, leaving the girls to explore. The four girls were sat at the breakfast table while Brian and John sat at the breakfast bar arguing with Roger about his new song.

"I put my heart and soul into this song and you don't like it because you want your songs on the album."

"It's not that Roger," John tells him.

"Then what is it?"

The bassist and guitarist share a look before, "I'm in love with my car," Brian answers hoping he'll get the message without having to explain further, to no avail, "Maybe it's not strong enough."
