(So, I thought why not make a Macaque x Reader. It is a shorter than the previous two but I hope you like it.)

Being a fox demon had its perks, but it can be lonely. You had tried to find other fox demons like yourself, but they were not particularly interested in being friends. You had spent many years just wandering the realm. You would often be in your fox form whenever you would visiting a village. You were always amazed by how things can progress while also remain the same so matter the changes. Though, a particular day was one that you would treasure forever. You were at this village, snacking on some bread, when your ears twitches as you picked up something.

You scurried along, avoiding people's legs, as you made it to a building and entered it. There you saw a show being performed. You found a spot as you watched the cloaked man tell a tale that involved a hero and a warrior. But he was using shadows to show the characters and the events that happened. Though you frowned since the ending was sad as the hero left the warrior. Once it was over, the people left the building but the cloaked man was different. You followed him stealthily into his little room.

You watched as he took off his cloak then your eyes widen as you find out that he is actually a demon. A monkey demon. He had inky black fur but then he turned his head and look to find you. Your tail poofed up as you freeze in place. He then hugged as he smiled and turned around to look down at you. You felt like prey under the gaze of a predator. You look into his golden eyes that were surrounded by a red faceprint that flared out like a flower. and he squat down and grabbed your scruff. You squeaked a little from the action as he held you at eye level with him. "So, what made you think you could get away without me knowing you were here." He says. You then had a cloud poof around you as you changed back into your regular form.

The monkey blinked in shock as he let you go. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to intrude but I was so captivated by your show that I wanted to talk to you though I was I worried that you would-Mm!" He covered your mouth to stop you from rambling. He then chuckled as he sat down across from you, his legs crossing to sit comfortably. "So, you're not trouble." He says. You blush and hug your tail, a habit you have whenever you get shy. "I do not mean to a bother. I just... Liked your story. Though, I was sad that the warrior was left behind." You said. Macaque frowned as he looked away from you. "Yeah, well, sometimes life is disappointing." He says.

It was quiet for a little while. "But how would you end it?" He asks you. You blink at him then look down and thought. "I think the warrior would wander a bit until he came across a curious being. They would want to help them feel better and show them that there are always friends to make elsewhere." You answered. The monkey looked at you with surprise by then smirked, "What would you think if you found out that he is not all that good?" He questions. "I am a demon and people think I'm not that good. I steal sometimes, but it is to satiated my hunger." They answer immediately. The monkey blinked in surprise by the immediate response.

"And, I have a feeling that the story is not just a story." You said. The black-furred monkey frowns as he looks away. You slowly release your tail as you scoot forward. "I hope I am not being too forward, but can I be your friend?" You ask. The monkey blinked in shock as they looked at you. He was extremely hesitant in accepting a friendship after what happened to his last one. But you were different. You had this aura of innocence that made the monkey demon believe that you were no threat. And you desire to befriend him was due to a want to have someone to call a friend.

He closes his eyes as he sighs then opens them as he lent his hand to you. "Macaque." He introduces himself. You eyes sparkled as you happily shake his with both of your hands, your tail wagging happily. "I am (Y/N)."
