(So, this idea popped into my head and it had been a while since I had updated or posted any chapters in this books this will be based on LEGO Monkie Kid. I hope you like it. But there will be a second part to it because I felt like this would be more than just one chapter. Also the reader is female, so just a heads up.)
One would think that after living for so long, one would become bored. But when around the right person, especially someone like the Monkey King, it never does. You remember the day you two meant. In fact, how could you ever forget? You were a lone traveler, parents passed into the next life and looking to find something. You ended up overhearing a conversation and look to find two demons prepping a stew with a man in white robes and a unique staff. You saw how unbothered he was and wondered if this was a common occurrence. You decided to help the man and quickly made a trap. Then tossed a rock at the demons that then noticed you and chased after you.
But instead of capturing you, they ended up stepping into the trap and they got slingshot into a hole and, let us just say, they did not get out. You then helped the man out of pot and freed him from his ropes. You two introduced each other and you learned that the man was a monk and the current carnation of the Golden Cicada, Tang SangZang. He asked about the demons and you said that they were gone. But then someone made a grand entrance, staff in hand and ready to fight but paused as he saw you both.
To thank you for saving him, SangZang had offered you to join their party. You accepted and it was an experience. You meant the other members of the his party that he was traveling with. Zhu Baije was a pig demon and tended to be a little too close for comfort at times, so you would whack him on the head. Hard. Sha Wujing was a river demon and was very sweet, always lending a hand to help for his brothers and you. Ao Lie, the Dragon of the West, was just about the sweetest being you have ever met. Oblivious and naive at times, but was wise and kind throughout.
And last and certainly not least, Sun Wukong. The Monkey King. At first he was hesitant and would keep his distant but upon learning about how you were able to outwit and defeat two demons all on your own, he thought that you were not all that useless for a human mortal. Whenever the group would stop to make camp, you would sometimes make the food and it was delicious that Wukong would demand seconds, even thirds at times. But you would give him a stern look and state that everyone gets equal servings. No special treatment. He would give you a narrow look but you would not back down so he would pout and cross his arms as he turns away from the group and grumbled a little.
The others were surprised by that. And they would continue to be surprised by how much your presence affected Wukong. He would act as though he was uninterested, but he would often stick next to you when you traveled. When you would stay at an inn, he would sneak into your room and you would whack him on the head and lecture him about privacy. But one night, while the others were asleep, you had woken up and saw Wukong in a tree as he looked up at the night sky. You climbed the tree and sat next to him on a branch.
At first you two did not speak to one another, but upon looking at him, you saw that he had a sad look in his eyes. You asked him if anything was bothering him, but he did not answer. Until he spoke about how he missed home. You became interested at that and asked him if he was okay with talking about his home. He looked at you with surprise but then went on to tell you about Flower Fruit Mountain. You payed attention to everything he said with great interest. His home sounded beautiful with how he would describe all the plants and and fruit that would blossom on it and his subjects were all so filled with life and personality. Though they could be mischievous since they are monkeys. You then asked him if he was they only one of his kind since he had many characteristics of a human and he got that sad look again.
You thought you had said something wrong and apologized, but Wukong smiled and waved it off like it was no big deal. You felt like there was more but let it go. Wukong then asked you about your story and you told him how your parents were the kindest people you ever knew. Your mother taught you about compassion and your father taught you about survival. You frowned as you recall the night when some thieves broke into your home and killed your parents in cold blood. You were heartbroken and after burying your parents, you vowed vengeance.
