| INCOMING TRANSMISSION. PROCEED TO TRAVEL? |
[Accept.] [Decline]
"Accept" called Killua. In an instant the world around him vanished and another formed. He was now in the presence of the 9 Highers. These 9 individuals governed the majority of the universe and were said to be near immortal. Killua immediately bowed.
"We have brought you here to hunt the infamous "Shadow. If you do so, you will be granted a cheque of 32 trillion quarts. Would you accept?" Killua thought for a moment. 32 trillion did sound great. One of the highest bounties he's ever heard of in history, but then he stopped. He'd only ever fought someone with a maximum of 19 trillion. It was a steep jump in business. Even then he had nearly lost an arm, just getting away with a nasty burn. Then again, he was bored. He had nothing to do. After pondering for a while, hetilted his head, muttering "Yes".
He had immediately been transported back to the planet he was on, as fast as he had left it. The 9 Highers had given him information on the Shadow but not on his whereabouts.
"How am I supposed to find someone who I barely have any information on, in this vast universe!!" He shouted out to himself. He then heard a stumbling of footsteps behind him and looked around. This planet was barren, and as flat as anything.
"I thought this planet was uninhabited?" Killua asked. The fog lifted around the area and revealed a male who looked just a bit older than Killua. Before Killua could say anything the man greeted him.
"Greetings. I am the Elder." Killua tried to hold in a laugh, but it burst out of him like a balloon running out of air. The man who had just greeted him, or 'The Elder' as he calls himself looked just about Killua's age, if not a bit more. He had crimson, red hair with not a white hair in sight. In addition to this, he had smooth skin with not a wrinkle in sight. The man stared at him waiting for him to finish. It took Killua just under a minute to stop.
"My looks May deceive you but this is not my true form." The Elder said. But it was different. His voice seemed to boom around Killua, as if it was enveloping the planet. He was eager to know more.
"I am 'The Elder'" the man repeated. "I appear whenever one needs to know something, but only out of pure selflessness and in the name of justice. I assume you are a bounty Hunter, judging by your attire and weapons." Indeed, Killua did look like a Bounty Hunter. He wore a grey jacket made of bulletproof iron. It weighed over 70 kilograms, but that was light for Killua. He wore blue jeans which didn't look out of the ordinary at first, but had an assortment of accessories lined around the belt, including a gun. In addition to this he hid many other items and secrets in his jacket. Killua nodded. He took a moment to process the information.
"How do I know you're not lying to me?" Killua asked The Elder, to which he replied.
"Trust and Faith." Killua felt a buzzing in his heart and thoughts rushed to his mind. He knew The Elder could be trusted. This information soared through his veins like a bullet train.
"Come with me, if you want your problems solved." Killua walked up to The Elder.
It felt like a teleportation transmission, but it wasn't. He appeared and disappeared just like you would with one, but there was an aura around him which was unnerving. Killua shrugged it off. He brought out a scanning device to scan how much aura and power someone has. He pinpointed it on The Elder and waited for the results. The machine whirred for a few seconds and then fizzed shortly interrupted by a bang and the Scanner went offline.
"Damn it!" Killua said, tapping furiously on the item. "I bought that for 40 million quarts as well! Stupid thing!!" The Elder chuckled.
"We're here." Killua looked around.
"What took us so long? I could've swore we were in there for at least 5 minutes!"
"Time passes differently in my Spiritual Transference. Besides, my domain resides outside of the known Universe."
"What do you mean?"
"You have been told that the edge of the universe is The Belt" The Elder began. "But past it, exists transcendental beings. I am one of many. We bring much power and if we were to launch an attack on the Known Universe, your universe would cease to exist."
"But I don't understand. Why are you telling me this? This is valuable information. Why me?" The Elder then whispered.
"In due time." Killia scoffed.
"Way to be so cryptic." He muttered under his breath.
"I beg your pardon?"
"Nothing!" He said tilting his head and smiling. He then took the chance to look around. The dimensions looked strange to him and made him feel queasy. He felt as if everything was colliding. There were clouds sideways and then a forest below him. Fire reached around him and the. Beans of electricity flooded the area. It was chaos.
"E-Elder!" he panicked. The Elder put his two fingers to Killua's temples and muttered something inaudible. Everything seemed to slow down. He was brought to the clouds again. The floor was clouds the sky was clouds. Even sideways was clouds.
"I suspect youre seeing clouds? The forest? Fire? The sea?" Killua nodded.
"Clouds." The Elder nodded his head up and down very slowly.
"As always, you people wouldn't understand my domain."
"There've been people here before?" Killua asked curiously.
"Yes. They have sworn not to tell anyone about anything they hear or see from me. That goes for you as well."
"Why?" Killua asked.
"Because your '9 Highers' are from beyond The Belt and shall never return here".
