They arrived in a small room. Killua immediately pushed away from Gon and reached for his pistol.

"Give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you right now!!" Killua shouted, to which Gon responded

"Uh.. I just saved your life?" Killua readied himself. Right in front of him, was standing the most heinous villain of their time. If Killua were to just shoot him, think of the things he could accomplish. Peace! Prosperity.

"Besides.." Gon said and then Killua felt it. He felt a light breeze and suddenly his gun wasn't in Killua's hand. It was in Gon's.

"H-How did you..?"

"I'm way out of your league. Anyway I wanted a chance to explain myself. I admit, I have done some heinous crimes over the past, but think, what have I done! I've never attacked people unless I knew the Highers would be put at a disadvantage! Just listen to me, Killua. I'm not the villain here. They are."

Killua nodded. "I know about the Highers. To be honest though, I just found out earlier today. Anyway, I need proof. You killed a friend of mine. You saying all that isn't enough!!" Killua felt the blood burn through him. It was that of a different feeling. He'd never felt it before. Go thought back.

"A fellow bounty Hunter, I presume? Was it Tonpa, the Two-Star Trickery Bounty Hunter?"

"At least you remember." Killua scoffed.

"He attacked me first!! Anyway, we don't have long. I've transported us to somewhere IN the universe. I don't have enough power to transport us into the Beyond just yet. If we sit in this cage, then I can regain my strength in a couple hours. You with me?"

"I guess."

The 8 Highers sat at a different table, so they were facing each other.

"So that Shadow. He's an avatar of The Power. He managed to defeat one of us. What do we do?" ONI asked. He was the most scared one out of all of them. They had never seen anyone more powerful than them who was a human, so it came quite a shock to all of them but especially him.

"With the power we gathered from AKUMA's corpse, we have gathered just enough power to venture to the Beyond. I suggest that we take our strongest member and they can kill some Transcendentals and take their power. Who's with me?" DEMOS said. They all cheered. Little did Gon and Killua know if the looming threat coming for them.

"So your Gon Freeccs, AKA 'The Shadow?! You've got a high bounty. What did you do to get such a high bounty?!" Gon cleared his throat.

"The Highers. They figured out the source of my power. They put a huge bounty on my head. That's why they only want me alive." Killua sat there taking in all this new information. It'd been a rollercoaster today and Killua couldn't wait to get out of here.

They talked and talked and fell asleep. They woke up seemingly on top of each other. Killua lay on Gon's shoulder and Gon's head lay on his. Killua was the first to wake up and immediately darted out of the comfy position. He cleared his throat and looked away, blushing. Gon looked around. He spotted Killua blushing but thought nothing of it. They had bigger fish to fry.

"Killua. We are about to venture back into the domain of the Highers. I can't assure you that you will live but I assure that if we defeat them, we can free the universe." Killua nodded.

"I'll come. Whatever it takes."

"Ok then. Grab my hand, Killua" Killua reached out and grabbed Gon's hand, gripping onto it tightly. He felt a wave of sickness befall him. Reality was warping and-

They were back. The Highers were nowhere to be seen, but this was surely the place. Gon edged around closer.

"They're not in their chairs!" Killua whispered. Gon nodded. They snuck around the room and found an entrance to another room. They heard incantations and murmuring. They walked closer to the source of the whispers until they were both extrapolated violently from the location. There was a burst of white light. Killua came face to face with another Beyonder. He looked at Gon. He seemed quite relaxed at the situation. It didn't take Killua to put 2 and 2 together.

"The Power, I presume?" Killua said and The Power nodded.

"I removed you from the scene to protect you. You two are facing the 8 Highers. Gon, you got lucky last time. The Hjgher you killed was suffering from a disease which made them 10x weaker than they would be. You just about used all your energy as well. Do you really think you would have a chance to kill the rest which, to my knowledge, are completely healthy? It is very dangerous what you attempted to do and I am deeply disappointed that you tried to do this without consulting me. If I hadn't removed you...-"

The Elder watched intensely as Killua and Gon walked closer to the Highers. He knew they didn't stand a chance. It wasn't that he didn't care, it was just that humans were so... weak. Pitiful creatures to him. Besides, they're easily replaceable. All of a sudden his vision got blurred and Killua and Gon vanished from view. He was shocked. He didn't know what had happened. He heard a faint knocking.

'Knocking?' The domains of the Beyonders were like houses, floating around behind the belt. It was infinite, to everyone's knowledge, and the bigger your domain was, the stronger you were at that particular time. If your strength had depleted significantly so would the size of your domain. The Elder was feeling weak now, but he couldn't explain the knocking. All of a sudden cracks formed on the edge of his domain. The domain shattered, like pieces of broken glass. The Elder was knocked back, and managed to see DEMOS, approaching him slowly.

"D-DEMOS?!" The Elder cried, his vision hazy. DEMOS smirked.

"Too easy"
