Chapter 3: A Mournful End? Hope in Sight - an Unexpected Visitor arrives!

Killua stood there shocked. 'How did they know.' The thought danced around his mind.

"I-I"

"Don't bother explaining!!" Demos shouted and stomped his foot. He grabbed Killua, enveloping his fingers around his body. He took off the mask and then said

"You're going to lead us to the Beyond. Now call for The Elder, or you shall be eaten by me." Killua tried to break free, but Demos's grip was too strong.

"In fact, I'm giving you the best treatment." Demos began. "The others before you were way more... breakable. Fess up. We haven't got all day." Blood was rushing to Killua's brain. What was he to do? He had barely any escape plan and how could he escape from them when they monitor the whole universe!

"What do you mean, call for The Elder?!" Killua shouted.

"A spiritual bond. If you are in need of help he shall hear your prayers. NOW CALL FOR HIM!!" Demons shouted.

"E-Elder?" Killua asked waiting for something to happen. The room was dead silent.

"Say it louder!" Demos said.

"ELDER!" Shouted a Killua he clutched his throat in pain. But still the Elder did not come.

"What is the meaning of this? I guess I'll just have to wait for someone el-" a loud rumble burst from the room. A new entity materialised, in the shape of Shadow. He ran across the room and dashed at one of The Highers at the end of the table. He slashed their head and a cross on their chest they fell to the ground in pain and then died. The 8 remaining Highers looked at him shocked. The all gathered up their powers and started attacking Gon fiercely. They shot bolts of energy at Gon, but he dodged them all with immense precision. It looked like he was floating.

'He's way out of my league!!' Killua thought. Demos let go of Killua, making him drop to the ground. He regained composure just in time to see Demos shoot a huge burst of energy straight at Gon. Gon tried to dodge out of the way and partially succeeded. Unfortunately part of his shoulder was grazed off, and all that was seen was a black ooze flowing out of his arm. He put his palm to his arm and then retracted it, and it was good as new.

'No! Could it be..?' He ran towards Demos and slid under him and grabbed Killua. Then they vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving the 8 Highers shell shocked.
