All the memories flood my mind like rapid flashbacks, as swift and fleeting as the light that illuminates the cloudy sky before the loud thunder breaks the silence.

My mind returns to that moment when I woke up in the middle of the common area for first and second-year students, the first time I met Satoru Gojo in person. All the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners I shared with the them: shopping outings with Nobara, training sessions with Maki and Panda, taking care of Megumi and Yuji, or afternoons helping Toge in the garden.

The exchange event, Tokyo Tech's victory, the photos Satoru and I took in his car. Going out with Satoru to buy my phone: my white kitten pendant with dark sunglasses.

Training sessions between Satoru and me, the kisses we shared, our first kiss under the starlight, the nights we spent together, and the time I lived with him.

I was happy.

I had everything, but circumstances the fractured world Gege invented in the end... this is what resulted.

All my happiness, my life, and my heart stayed with Satoru Gojo, wherever Tokyo is in that dimension condemned to destruction at the hands of Sukuna Ryomen.

Curiously, I'm in the same position as before going to the Jujutsu Kaisen world, lying on my couch. Slowly, I sit up and feel the edge, leaving the soft blanket aside.

The TV is off, the light is on, and I wonder: how long have I been out?

My phone starts vibrating before a melody fills the living room, it's the alarm. After recovering from my little startle, I pick up the phone and turn off the sound.

It's 7 am. Monday?

A call comes in, and I see it's from my friend.

"Y/n!" she speaks as soon as I take the call.

"Hi, Tara, good morning" I reply with little enthusiasm, only Tara can be so upbeat at this hour of the morning.

"Ow~" She complains from the other end "someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed... I see~"

"Tara~" I plead as I get up and make my way to the bathroom with heavy steps. I feel normal, as if I had never been attacked or used my powers. "I just woke up and I have to go to work, what happened?"

I feel as ordinary as before waking up in Tokyo, before Satoru found me.

"You missed it! Yesterday, I went to the club and I met the most handsome man" I can see her fantasizing even though we're on a call" he had a sexy friend, perfect for you~ But no! You were missing all Sunday and didn't answer my calls."

I can't help but roll my eyes, at the same time a question assaults my mind: Was it a dream? I open the door and look at myself in the mirror.

"Y/n? Y/n? Are you there?" I manage to murmur an affirmative "mmhm" because I'm speechless. I hear Tara's voice in the distance laughing as she tells me about her weekend adventure.

But I can't keep up the conversation. I'm stunned: there's a diagonal scar on my forehead that goes from my forehead to my temple, and that's where a weight settles in my stomach: it wasn't a dream.

A moment ago I was in Satoru's arms... for real. I conclude with a painful pang in my heart.

"Oh Y/n! You're not listening to me~" my friend complains "let's meet later for coffee, maybe we can have dinner, okay?"

"Mhm" I nod and confirm without saying anything else " sounds good Tara " I find my voice "see you."

After hearing her respond, I hang up and almost drop my phone because I've started to tremble. I check my body and find small scars on my forearms, legs, and even the scar left by the stab in the chest caused by that curse.
