Just to clarify, I'm aware that it is likely neither Pepper or Tony would take care of employee interviews. But for the sake of this plot, that's how it is. Cool? Cool.

Flash studied himself in the mirror once more and adjusted his tie. He stepped out of the Stark Industries lobby bathroom and strode toward security. His visitor badge was swiped and he stepped through the body scanner without any problems. The elevator ride up to the floor where he had been told his interview would take place went smoothly.
As the doors opened into his potential future, Flash started hyping himself up for his conversation with the big man himself, Tony Stark. Initially his interview had been planned with Virginia Stark, but two days ago he had been formed via email that Mr. Stark would be taking over. Something about him stepping in because Mrs. Stark was overbooked. Honestly, Flash couldn't be more thrilled. He enjoyed the idea of getting to prove himself as an asset to the company to the one and only Mr. Stark.
At the final corner before the interview room would be in sight, Flash paused. He took a deep breath, whispered to himself, "You've got this!" and turned into the next corridor.
His eyes widened in disbelief as he processed who one of the people standing in the hallway was...

Peter was in the middle of a discussion with an SI employee about some statistics when he heard a voice that he thought he had left behind when he graduated from Midtown say, "Parker?"
The tiny hairs on the back of Peter's neck stood on end as he turned around and, after swallowing hard to coat his drying throat, replied, "Flash?" He quickly dismissed the employee, saying they would finish the conversation later.
A frown settled on Flash's face as he marched toward Peter. "What are you doing here?" he asked.
Peter searched his brain for a valid reason he could give for being at Stark Industries wearing an expensive business suit and talking with an employee.
"Mr. Stark?" a secretary said as she walked up to him.
Peter grimaced and closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them again, he glanced at Flash, who was staring at the secretary like a unicorn horn had just sprouted from her head or something bizarre like that.
Oblivious to the bomb she had just dropped, the secretary handed Peter a folder and continued, "I was instructed to give you these new reports."
"Thank you," Peter managed to get out in a semi-professional tone through his clenched jaw.
Some employees had known Peter was a Stark since he was born, as it wouldn't have made sense to keep certain personnel out of the loop if Peter would be interacting with them on a day-to-day basis as he went in and out of the building for school and whatnot. Most of the employees, however, had only recently learned who Peter was. This was because Peter had been easing into the loop of SI business since he turned twenty. After he turned twenty-one, Peter's identity would be revealed to the public and he would take on the role as CEO. Evidently, some employees were better at keeping Peter's identity discreet than others. This secretary must have either forgotten about the discretion or assumed that anyone on this floor of the building was already in the loop, which would be an incorrect assumption.
As the secretary left, Flash turned to Peter and said, "What did she call you?"
"Um-"
"Pete!" Tony greeted as he appeared from the same corridor Flash had a few minutes earlier. He opened his mouth to add something, but then his eyes landed on Flash's visitor pass. Tony's eyebrow raised as he offered his hand to Flash and said, "Hello. You wouldn't happen to be my two o'clock appointment?"
