In grade school, Peter and Ned were never popular. Yes, everyone knew he was Tony Stark's son, but since most of them had known him since they were in Kindergarten, they thought of him as nothing more than their classmate.

Fortunately, Peter and Ned were going to the same middle school - Midtown Junior High - and were probably going to attend Midtown High as well. Some of their former classmates were attending the school also, including Flash, unfortunately. However, there were also a lot of people who had come from different grade schools, and they were in awe of Peter Stark.

Peter didn't know what to do with all the popularity he was getting. It was more stressful and nerve-wracking than enjoyable for him. This was why after the first week at the school, Peter and Ned decided to sit at a small table near the back of the cafeteria to eat lunch, so people hopefully wouldn't ask to sit with them.

Peter and Ned were doing just that - sitting in the back of the cafeteria, enjoying their lunch, talking about Star Wars and Lego.

Both of them jumped slightly at the sound of a chair scraping the hard floor near them. They turned to look just as a girl plopped down on the chair she had dragged over to their table. She set her large book and lunch bag on the table before looking Peter in the eye, "So you're the Stark kid, huh?"

Peter sighed, "Yeah, I'm 'the Stark kid'." He looked at Ned as they both prepared for the usual 'Your dad is Iron Man, can I meet him?' or 'So you're a billionaire?! You must have anything you ever wanted!' etc.

"Okay," she began unwrapping her sandwich.

Peter looked at her, shocked, but mostly confused, "Wait... you don't care?"

She shrugged, "It's cool I guess... But yeah, I don't really care." She proceeded to open her book and take a bite out of her sandwich.

"Then why did you sit with us?" Ned asked, equally confused.

She glanced up from her book, "Because I don't have any friends, I decided, how about I go sit with those two losers at the back of the cafeteria."

Strangely enough, Peter and Ned weren't insulted by the fact that she called them losers. They were mostly relieved that there was at least one other person in the school who didn't care about who Peter was related to.

"Well if you're going to sit with us, I think we deserve to at least know your name," Peter said with a smirk.

The girl rolled her eyes, "My name is Michelle."

Peter grinned, "I'm Peter, and this is Ned."

"Hi!" Ned said.

Michelle just nodded, but Peter could have sworn he saw a glimpse of a smile playing on her lips.

The trio is finally here! :D
