                                       Rose

As Rose stepped out of her brother's office, her gaze immediately sought out Aurora among the bustling crowd. She spotted her, standing tall and composed, a hint of irritation flickering across her features as their eyes met. Rose's heart skipped a beat at the sight of her, the memory of their morning encounter flooding her mind.

"Aurora!" Rose called out, her voice echoing down the hallway. "Shit!" Aurora's response was kind of snappy, her tone edged with annoyance as she turned to face her unexpected caller, a polite smile gracing her lips.

"What can I do for you, Miss?" Aurora asked, her tone cool and composed.

"Hi, I'm Rose," she said, offering a warm smile as she extended her hand, hoping her introduction would help ease the tension between them.

Aurora didn't extend her hand in response, her demeanor still guarded as she asked again, "What can I do for you, Rose?"

Rose took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to say. "I wanted to properly apologize for this morning," she began, her words rushed yet sincere. "And I thought, maybe, we could grab lunch together?"

Aurora hesitated for a moment before shaking her head. "I appreciate the offer," Aurora replied curtly, her tone indicating her reluctance to accept Rose's gesture of apology.

Disappointment washed over Rose, but she refused to let it show. "That's alright," she said, forcing a smile. "Perhaps dinner would be better? To make up for the morning mishap?"

Aurora's brow furrowed slightly, uncertainty flickering in her eyes. But before she could respond, Rose pressed on. "I promise, it'll be worth your while," she added, her voice tinged with a hint of playfulness.

"I have a lot of work to catch up on," Aurora stated firmly, her voice tinged with frustration. "And frankly, after this morning's incident, I'm not exactly in the mood for socializing," she added, her anger simmering just beneath the surface.

Rose persisted, her voice gentle yet determined. "I understand, Aurora. But I really want to make it up to you. Let me take you out to dinner tonight. We can talk, clear the air, and hopefully, start fresh."

But Aurora remained unmoved, her resolve unwavering despite Rose's heartfelt plea. She shook her head gently, her expression softening with sympathy.

"Please, Aurora," Rose added, her tone pleading as she made a cute, hopeful face, her eyes wide with sincerity. "I promise it'll be worth it. Just give me a chance to make things right."

After a moment of contemplation, Aurora finally relented, though her agreement was accompanied by a somber expression rather than a smile. "Fine," she conceded reluctantly, her tone clipped. "But just for dinner."

As they stood there, locked in a silent exchange, Rose couldn't help but analyze the tension crackling between them. Aurora's tall, lean frame stood in stark contrast to Rose's slightly taller stature and more muscular build. Yet, despite their differences, there was an undeniable attraction simmering beneath the surface.

Rose found herself longing to taste Aurora's lips, to lose herself in the intoxicating scent that surrounded her. She knew she would feel the heat radiating off Aurora's body, the electricity sparking between them with every fleeting touch.

But as Aurora reached for her phone, Rose realized she needed to take matters into her own hands. "Here," Aurora said, handing her a business card. "Give me a call when you're ready to set up dinner."

Rose's heart skipped a beat as she accepted the card, a rush of excitement coursing through her veins. "Of course," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Oh, and Aurora," Rose added with a smirk, "don't forget, I gave you my card at the accident scene this morning." Aurora's face flushed with heat in response. "How can I forget," Aurora muttered, a hint of irritation creeping into her voice. She scolded herself silently for allowing softness to seep in after the distasteful morning incident, mouthing to herself, "I sure can't even if I try."

With a final exchange of glances, they parted ways, each lost in their own thoughts as they returned to their respective tasks. Rose couldn't help but smile as she made her way back to her brother's office, her mind already racing with plans for their dinner.

"Keze," she said, bursting into the room with a grin. "You'll never guess what just happened."

Her brother arched an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Let me guess," he said, his voice filled with amusement. "You asked Aurora out to dinner?"

Rose's grin widened as she nodded eagerly. "And she said yes!"

Keze chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "Just go easy on her, alright? She's been through a lot today."

Rose nodded, her excitement undiminished. "Don't worry, I'll make sure she's well taken care of."

With that, she bid her brother farewell and made her way home, her mind buzzing with anticipation for the evening ahead. As she prepared for their dinner, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was forgetting something important.

A pang of realization hit her. She had forgotten to inform Aurora about the specifics of their dinner plans—the day and time.
