so sorry for the confusion

It was 5th night when a certain Rahul wasn't able to sleep. It had been 5 days since that fateful night, but Rahul wasn't able to find peace. He knew it would take time to heal the wounds of the loss, but he had become almost an insomniac. He saw all the others moving around the space they were confined to, working on autopilot mode. He had somehow convinced himself that the others' state was worse than his and that he should be the last one to lament about it.

"Ugh! Why can't I just sleep!" An angry Rahul sat up on his bed, throwing his pillows and blankets away from his body. He picked up his phone and frustratedly started to scroll it but alas! What good did that ever do for him? He opened Twitter and with a grimace, he saw he was trending.

#KlRahul, #statpadder, #lowsr, #106 balls, #zeroboundaries and many more....

Rahul could feel the pressure build behind his eyes. He switched off the phone, looked up at the ceiling to blink back the tears and moved out of the room. Rahul didn't know where he was going until he was there, standing and staring at the shut door. He raised his hand to knock but hesitated and pulled it down. He wanted to run inside that room just as fast as he wanted to turn and return to his own room. He took a few steps back and then 2 forward. He looked around to check if anyone was secretly seeing him and when he was absolutely sure there was none else but him in the corridor, he took a deep breath and without another thought, he rapped his knuckles against the door.

"Shit!" Rahul thought. "What have I done? Can I still run away?"

He had just taken his foot back when the door opened flat against the back wall.

Virat had opened the door and by the looks of his messed-up hair, he was sleeping.

"Rah? What happened bacha?" The groggy voice asked. Though sleepiness was completely evident in Virat's voice, Rahul could still hear concern in it.

"Uh...yeah...you were sleeping?" Rahul asked nervously.

"No shit Sherlock," Rahul cursed himself mentally.

Virat tilted his head a little to the side, observing the younger man standing in front of him. Rahul squirmed at his place and fidgeted with his fingers, being scanned under Virat's gaze. He felt he was 5 again and had just stolen a toffee from the kitchen unasked. When Virat had completed his assessment of his younger brother, he stepped out of his room finally and shut the door softly behind him, his panda needed to sleep after all.

He softly held Rahul's hand and led him straight to the seat, unoccupied at the time in the vacant corridor. When they had both sat down, Virat pulled Rahul to himself in such a way that he could throw his arms around his shoulders.

"Kya hua Rah? Bata na," Virat asked very softly. "Couldn't sleep abhi?"

Rahul shook his head in no. "Since 5 nights. Didn't know what to do."

Virat immediately pulled the younger man's head on his lap and started caressing his hair softly.

"Aur ye 5 din pehele hi kyu nhi bataya tune?"

"Didn't wanna disturb you," Rahul replied innocently. Virat sighed. For a little while, none of them said anything, feeling the peace in each other's presence. Rahul was completely satisfied with the fingers carding through his hair. But he knew he had to confide in the one person he knew he always could. Otherwise, he might end up falling deeper into the depression hole and he certainly didn't want or need that.
