008- The princess and the big bad man

He believes you won't leave.

You sigh and roll your eyes. You grab your phone before walking back to the living room, while sitting down you scroll through your phone. So many missed calls and unopened messages. You start to look through them all, most of them are from Megumi or your friends worrying about you. These people care about you. 'Your life is not sad..' you think to yourself.

You open messages from Megumi and scroll through them, bunch of 'I am sorry', 'Please call me' and 'Where are you' texts. Maybe it was a bad idea but you had to do it. You call Megumi and not even 2 seconds pass he already picks up.

First thing you hear is his soft voice saying your name, it feels like a hug. "I was so worried.. Are you okay?" you hear him tearing up and choking a bit on his words.

"I am fine Gumi." you say through a sigh, you don't even know how you feel. "I just needed some space. I was very hurt." you press your lips together while looking around the empty house.

"I am so sorry. Please forgive me. I will never do anything to hurt you again. That's a promise." you hear him sniff.

His words are killing you, even though he did a stupid thing, you've done much worse to him and he is the one apologizing. If he knew, you would never hear from him again. You take a deep breath, "It's okay. Don't apologize anymore. I understand.. We were drunk and stupid. Things got out of control and it's okay." you bite your thumb. You're an asshole.

"No.. I haven't apologized enough. I'll come over as soon as I am done with work, I'll be out-"

"No!" you interrupt him abruptly, "I mean.. I am not home right now." you slap your face. The worst thing you could've said.

"Oh." you hear confusion in his voice. "Well where are you? Can I come and pick you up?"

"Well I am at.. my friend's place." he knows all of your friends, what a stupid lie. "I'll be staying here for couple of days. But if I find time we can meet some other day.."

He stays silent. "I will call you.. I promise.." you keep talking, the silence was killing you.

"Are you avoiding me?" his words cut through you.

"No Gumi.. I am not. I just can't see you right now, and I need you to understand. It's not something I can talk about right now but I promise I will tell you some other time. Okay?" you're hoping this will end the conversation.

After some time of silence he finally says: "Alright, as long as you're safe and well, I don't care where you are. After you left with him.. I was so worried.." your name slips through his lips like honey, "He is a very dangerous man. If he ever comes near you, just get away and call me. You need to understand that, alright?"

You shut your eyes and bite your bottom lip. You nod as if he could see you, "Okay." you whisper gently and put your hand over your eyes, "I have to go now, I'll call you." before he could say anything, you hang up the phone. You throw your phone on the pillow next to you and just groan with your hands covering your eyes.

After about 4 hours, of you scrolling through your phone and watching TV, you finally hear the front door open. You sit up quickly and look at the hallway awaiting to see him. Your heart starts pumping faster for some reason, you feel scared confronting him. Toji walks to the living room, almost surprised seeing you there, "I thought you would leave." he says boringly.

His tone stings, he sounds like he doesn't even care if you were here or not. You just scoff and roll your eyes, not replying to him. You look back at the TV. Toji walks over to you and runs his hand through your hair but you slap it away. Frown appears on his face as he grabs your wrist, "You really think you can act that fucking bratty without consequences?" he grips your already bruised wrist tighter. You whine in pain trying to escape his grip, your other hand claws at his to let go of you.
