Jack stumbled out of the portal landing on his face in the snow, not motion sick but he was sick of the warmth from the portal plus North's workshop's ungodly amount of fireplaces. He sighed happily placing his face in the snow before he realized the other guardians will be tumbling out 'oh no-' North came out of the portal next

"Jack? Where are-" North walked forward to only tumble over Jack who was cuddling the snow, now in the snow himself. He laughed.

Tooth came out of the portal next she saw the other two on the ground and laughed, she got nudged by Sandy's cloud when he floated out next. "Hello, sandy!" Sandy smiled and made a golden top hat so he could do a bow.

North stood up now on the opposite side of Jack, tooth and Sandy stayed in the air. Jack preferred the ground.

Lastly, Bunnymund came out, he stepped out calmly.

"Alright ya buggers! what are we doing now?" Bunny asked with his arms crossed. The portal closed.

"Hey jack! Isn't this close to your pond?" Tooth asked looking over jack

Mumble no one could hear what jack said since his face was in the snow. He lifted his head before anyone could say anything else "Yeah." he repeated clearly this time.

"I vonder if the artifacts are in places dear to us." north suggested

"I could see that, especially with the kitchen. You love cookies!" jack smiled

Bunny pushed Jacks head back down into the snow "Eat snow and hush bloke"

Jack let out a muffled groan and got back up

"It's not really my type of cold out here but still winter, I wonder.." jack started but then quieted at the end

"vonder what jack?" North asked

"Nothing, come on." jack said gesturing for the guardians to follow him as he picked up his staff

While walking through the forest to Jack's pond the guardians noticed that the snow was kinda melting, still clearly in winter but it could be transitioning to spring "Yep i was right!" jack said while the guardians were watching jack float around checking on the snow

"Right bout what?" bunny asked

"Oh, it's turning to spring. Still my territory though!"

The guardians made to to jacks pond

"Guys look." tooth said in a hushed whisper

She was pointing at the pond. A little kid was in the partially melted water, she looked roughly 10, long hair, hard to tell what color in the dark. She was in a praying sit, hands up to the sky in the shallow part of the water.

"We need to grab that little bugger, she's going to freeze to death!" Bunnymund tried to go in and grab the kid but didn't make it past the forest line before being snatched back by a cold hand "Aye mate! What are ya doing!?"

Jack pulled bunny back. "We can't interfere, also look ahead." Where jack was pointing a hooded figure stood in front of the girl, they pulled a scythe and reaped the girls soul.

All the guardians stared in horror, the child was dead.

"You five! Come out now!" The guardians were caught, they couldn't flee so they stepped out.

"We don't mean any harm, we are just looking for something" Jack said

The figure turned around and pulled down his hoodie to get a better look.

It was Jack!? Or well another jack, he looked different, like missing something. "Whats going on-?" The other Jack looked weirded out and confused. Well, he looked like a lot of different things, older, more sleepless, not fun..?
