funnily enough, this chapter was supposed to be in chapter 6. so i added A LOT of drama and lore, this was originally going to be a very fast-paced fic with like 12 chapters but *shrugs* that never lasts long and my brain was like "HA it's funny that you think you're capable of 'short and fast-paced' so have this lore bitch." so here we are <333 hehee I HAVE NO REGRETS. will be turning this fic into an original with many changes though

After Y/n's heat ends, she and Chan spend the entire day resting and recuperating. Once they're feeling better, Y/n's family rocks up at her house early in the morning to surprise her.

Y/n blinks, brushing her strand of white hair out of her face as she leans against her front door. "Mama, what...?"

Jia stands with a bright smile and excited eyes. Peeking behind her, Y/n notices a wagon full of supplies and sleeping pups. Jaeyun leans against it with a deeply bruised body, glaring at the ground with his arms crossed over his chest. "Morning!"

Y/n grits her teeth. "Ma, it is barely dawn. What is going on?"

"I heard there's a festival near that market town you like!" Jia grabs Y/n's hands, softly scenting her knuckles with her cheek. "So I thought I'd attend with the pups! Are you in?"

Y/n stares at her mother like she's lost her mind. "You're kidding, right?"

"Nope." Jia grins. "Please, tell me you'll come. Luca and Sujin are coming!"

"Mama–"

"Hey, Ma." Luca approaches looking dead tired, holding a bag in one hand and Sujin's hand with his other. "We're ready."

Y/n frowns as Sujin waves sleepily at her. "You knew about this?"

Luca grunts. "You're coming too. I told Chan-hyung. He's right behind me."

Y/n whirls around the instant she feels her alpha's presence in her mind and glares. "Why didn't you tell me about this?"

Chan smirks, a bag in his hand and the weapon she gifted him attached to his hips. "Because you'd say no and then punch me in the face, so we just bombarded you instead."

"Channie–"

"Relax." He pulls her in by her waist and kisses her temple, amused as she instantly melts into him. "A little fun will do you some good. I'll carry you while you sleep, okay? We'll be fine."

She grumbles something unintelligible, her annoyance filling his chest, and he snorts, holding out a set of clothes. Her eyes linger on the crescent moon necklace he got for her placed on top. "Put this on and then meet us outside."

Dressing quickly, Y/n rushes out of the house and locks the door. Chan hands her a sandwich when she darts down the stairs and she accepts it with a cheek kiss.

"Alright." Jia places her hands on her hips. "For this to go well, Jaeyun, Y/n, Chan, and Luca, absolutely no interacting."

Y/n instantly scowls alongside Chan as Luca rolls his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest.
