"Why don't you take me along with you?" Aurora almost yelled, frustrated.

"I can't. I just can't!" He whispered.

"Aaron, you never take me along with you. And what is the reason? I am not letting you go today without knowing the reason. Tell me the fucking reason. I need to know. I deserve to know" Aurora blurted.

"Do you really want to know?" He replied sternly and looked into her eyes.

"Yes" she answered blankly, and he sighed.

"So, listen. One the major reasons is, that the area, and those people, are not safe for women. They're goons and criminals, and dangerous. That is why it is not safe for you to go there. Is that reason enough?"

"But then, why do you have to go there?" She asked, concerned.

"Because they will come here if I don't go there" he answered. She sighed.

"Ping me. Let me know whatever they say" she said, as her bottom lip quivered. She tried hard to stifle her sobs.

She fell on her knees and cried her heart out as soon as she saw him retreating. Her eyes fell on the diamond studded wedding ring on her hand. It was not a lit, just a tiny diamond on a platinum band. That was the twist of her fate. She picked on it, debating with her alter ego whether or not she sell it to pay off some of her husband's debt.

"Is a normal life, not luxurious, but just a simple one where you can live insouciantly too much to ask for? Please grant me freedom from all these unwanted and unnecessary troubles. I think i have been tested enough. Please lend me some freedom. She prayed silently, and then draped a scarf around her neck. She picked up her worn out handbag, with a safety pin clasped to the handle to hold it together and wore her slippers. Her workplace was at a half an hour distance from her home.

She stood at the bus stop, waiting for her bus. "The bus is late" she thought and shrugged. A car stopped right in front of her, and a man came out, and stood right in front of her.

"Yes?" She frowned awkwardly.

"I have been seeing you here since many days. Like I pass by, and see you waiting for the bus. So why don't you buy your own vehicle?" He asked, out of nowhere

"Excuse me?" She frowned, and almost pissed at the audacity of this cocky man who she'd never seen before.

"Yes. Your own vehicle for commute. You can earn a hefty sum. We have a job for you. You wouldn't have to do much, but just sit back and relax, and enjoy? Here is my card. Call me if you are interested" he smirked, winked and left the place.

She pushed the card in the back chain of her handbag before checking it, because her bus had arrived just then. She quickly entered inside, and sighed as soon as she found an empty place to sit.

She remembered the weird person that she met at the bus stop, and then remembered about the card that he gave her. It was not like a visiting card, but was like a description paper. She opened the chain of her purse, where she had hastily stuffed the card right before entering the bus, and took out the card.

Call - 1-200-3000 for a wonderful money earning opportunity. Earn upto $10000 per day by just showing up at said venues. It was a rather vague advertisement, if it was one. She immediately thought it to be a scam and crumpled the paper and put it back inside her bag, without thinking a lot about it.

She reached near her work place. She worked in a domestic shipping company. In the afternoon, she got a call from Aaron. "Hello? What did they say?" Aurora asked nervously.

"Rory, baby, I bargained for now. They are asking for ten grand within two days. And the rest of the money later." He said, and put the phone down, but he forgot to disconnect.
