I Can Change

ICC - 01 Wonwoo

Another typical day for Mingyu on his university. He would spend time with his circle of friends doing crazy stuffs like dares or maybe challenges all day. Then there's Wonwoo the school nerd . He's got the brains and a little bit of the look. He doesn't really have friends but he has his big brother Seungcheol.

Lunchtime at their university, Mingyu's circle of friends decided to grab a table but there was no empty seats. Then they saw Wonwoo sitting alone on a big table reading a book while taking notes. They decided to approach wonwoo. "Hey Wonu! Wassup!" Mingyu's friend said as they say beside Wonwoo

"What?" Wonwoo coldly said then continues to read his book. "Relax~ it's lunch why don't you take a rest on studying" mingyu said and grabs Wonwoo's book . "Hey! Give it back" wonwoo tried to get the book but since mingyu is quite tall he couldn't reach it. "Then try to get it" mingyu pass the book to his friends , then they all started to pass it to one another.

After a while Wonwoo started to have an asthma attack. He stopped from what he's doing. His knees got weak and he breaths heavily. He quickly grab his backpack to find his inhaler. Mingyu saw this , but he felt a little guilty. He grabbed the book and gave it to Wonwoo back. Wonwoo used his inhaler before speaking. He grabbed the book from Mingyu and ran out of the cafeteria with his backpack.

"I think we went a little bit to far..." Mingyu felt really guilty. "Nah... We're just trying to enlighten the mood right?" His friend Minghao said making his friends agree.

"I have an idea!" Minghao said out loud. "I have a challenge for you Mingyu Kim!" Minghao went beside Mingyu. "I challenge you to make wonwoo fall for you!" Their friends started to tease mingyu and please him to agree. "Stop! My brother's quite sensitive about this.. I don't think you all should hurt my little brother" Seungcheol said with a worry tone. "I promise cheol. I'll be a little soft on your brother's feelings." Mingyu begged Seungcheol. "Fine... But if he gets hurt , I won't be your friend anymore.

The bell rang and it's time for their last period. Mingyu and Wonwoo are in the same class . Mingyu decided to sit next to Wonwoo's usual spot on the back of the classroom. When Wonwoo arrived at the classroom, he saw Mingyu sitting beside his spot so he decided to sit next to his brother instead.

Mingyu quickly grab his phone to chat Seungcheol.

"Yo bro! Let's switch seats"
   
                                                   "No"
"Please!!!! I'll give you my hot wheels collection next week!"
      
                                                "fine"

Seungcheol quickly stands up and went to Mingyu's seat. Mingyu then sat beside Wonwoo. He decides to tap wonwoo gently. But Wonwoo ignored it. Mingyu continues to tap Wonwoo's shoulder. "What" wonwoo said in annoyance.

"Just wanted to ask you on a date.... That's all.." mingyu asked "with you? No thanks" wonwoo coldly said. "Alright, I'll be giving everyone's tests results back now" the professor announced and started handing the tests . "Good work as always Wonu!" The professor gave Wonwoo's test paper with a perfect grade.

"Wow, he really is a nerd" "yeah! Maybe that's why he is single" "gosh what a loser" the people at back murmurs as they judge wonwoo. Wonwoo heard it but chose to ignore it because he's already used to hearing those words from his classmates.

Mingyu also heard it and he noticed Wonwoo's face with a little hint of sadness. Of course he felt bad for him. The bell rang signaling dismissal time. Wonwoo walked out of the classroom quietly and went to his favourite place the library

Mingyu followed him and saw Wonwoo reading a book on the corner while sitting on a beanbag. He slowly approaches Wonwoo. "What do you want?" Wonwoo coldly said flipping the page of the book .  "Are you here to make fun of me too? Go ahead" wonwoo was tearing up as he said those words. He removes his glasses to wipe his tears.

"I-.... I just wanted to congratulate you. You did great. And maybe I want to ask you out" mingyu stands still while Wonwoo wipes his tears. "Let me ask you something" wonwoo quickly stands up "why would you want to ask out a loser like me? Are you just asking me because you feel bad? Or maybe because you pity me? Or is it because you want me to do your homeworks! Wonwoo shouted with tears falling from his eyes.

Mingyu felt soft and wanted to back down from the challenge. He quickly gave Wonwoo a hug to calm him down . Wonwoo just hug him as he cried his heart out
