Author's Note: hi guys! This is Himeyaoi coming to you with her first boyxboy story! Gosh, she is super excited and hella nervous about posting though! She hopes her readers enjoy her story, since she worked so hard on it. Enough of her rambling, onto the story!

Fire and Ice

Prologue

"Sulphur, time for bed."

Natalya watched as her tiny boy with scarlet hair and crystal blue eyes bounded over to her, his tiny hands outstretched to her. Picking him up, she cared him upstairs to his bedroom. The Yuki'onna* walked up the stairs carefully, not wanting to trip and fall with her precious boy in her hands. The white flared pants she wore often proved to be a hassle with stairs, especially when she was wearing heels. Once reaching her young son's bedroom and opened the door, she couldn't help but gasp in surprise. The young boy gave his mother a look of surprise then turn to see what she was staring at. His confusion melted quickly as he squealed "DADDY!" at the top of his voice. A man with equally scarlet hair chuckled, quickly getting up to hug his young son and wife.

"I've missed you two so much! Oh my Sulphur, you're growing up so fast!"

The Yuki'onna smiled at her husband's antics, watching the Fire Dragon Shifter* pluck their son from her arms.

"Don't rile him up too much, Agni. I was about to put him to bed."

The snow woman rolled her eyes when father and son gave twin looks of distaste when she mentioned that it was bedtime. Taking Sulphur from her husband's arms, Natalya tucked the boy in bed and gave him a kiss on the forehead.

"You know Sulphur, if you sleep you'll be as big and strong as your daddy."

The boy's eyes grew wide at what his mother had said, looking at his father for confirmation. Agni nodded and smiled at his son, watching him get comfy under the covers. Both parents gave their son a kiss on the cheek as his breathing evened out, turning off the lit lamp and closing the door.

"Our son is growing so fast, isn't he?"

Natalya nodded. "Soon he's going to get bigger and probably find a mate."

Agni offered an arm to his mate, slowly leading them down to their chambers. "I can't wait to see her. She's going to be a keeper."

"Or he." Natalya couldn't help but correct him. "Please don't tell me you promised to support our soon even if his mate is a male."

Agni shook his head firmly, giving a kiss on his wife's cheek. "Nonsense, I would never do such thing. I must've forgotten, that's all. But I'm worried Natalya. What about our bloodline? How could he reproduce if his mate is male?"

Natalya smiled at him warmly. "Where there's a will, there's a way. You'll see my dear."

*Glossary: Yuki'onna- it means "snow woman". A popular Japanese yokai that inhabits snowy mountains and causes blizzards and snow storms.
Dragon Shifter- A person who shifts in and out of dragon/human form. Can breathe and eat their given element (I.e fire or water)
