Chapter 2

*Silver's P.O.V*

"Silver! Time for your lessons!"

Ugh these "lessons." What could I honestly be taught now? I was 20 years old, and adult, still being taught etiquette and whatnot even after years of experience. Reluctantly, I got up from my room, my sanctuary, and walked into the ballroom of the castle.

"Ah, my little prince! So glad to see you. Have a seat, have a seat."

I take a seat across from my mother, one of my eyebrows rising. None of my teachers were there with their lesson plans. "Mother, what's going on?"

My mother smiled at me, turning to my father and nudging him for his attention.

"Silver, your father and I were talking. We think it's time for you to choose a bride."

I couldn't help but roll my eyes. All they ever talk about was getting a grandchild from me. I wasn't in any relationships and neither did I want to be in one.

Well, at least not yet.

"Father, mother, I appreciate your diligence with this...matter. I would like to deal with this myself, please."

Mother couldn't help but sigh. "Fine, fine. Off you go then." After kissing my mother's cheek and hugging my father, I leave the ballroom. Going back to my sanctuary, I plop on the bed exhaustedly. With the quiet engulfing me, I fall asleep.
