"Tobio-kun.. *sniff* I promise! I'm gonna take you with me someday! That way, we won't.. *sniff* get separated even if I go overseas..."

"...Just a dream, huh." I looked out my window and stood up, spacing out for a bit. "I wonder if she remembers her promise..."

Third person POV

Y/n waved at her old friend that was taking his sweet time with each step that lasts seemingly a month, casually sipping on his yogurt.

"Oh my Gosh Tobio, for an athlete, you sure walk quite slow" Y/n complained to the boy, now walking side by side with her towards their respective classrooms.

Kageyama deadpanned at her, mumbling a "Life isn't a race, N/n"

Both of them stopped in their tracks, stunned by what had slipped Kageyama's mouth. "Can..- could you repeat that?" Y/n hesitated.

The boy shrugged in response, resuming his walk, then glanced at her from behind, "Life isn't a race, N/n." he smirked, dragging out the N/n.

They smiled. It's been a long time since they met again, but at this moment it seemed like they weren't even separated at all.

After a few minutes of silence, Kageyama spoke a little timidly, "By the way... Y/n...you wouldn't happen to remember a promise you made me when we were children, would you?"

"What promise?"

"Nevermind, forget I asked" He shyly turned his head the other way.

"Hehe, kidding! We made a lot of promises, Tobio-kun. I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but the one that stuck with me the most was when I..."

Kageyama gulped.

"..Promised to lend you my George Pig plushie! Don't worry, I still have it safe with me. Is that why you're so embarrassed?" She giggled.

"What? No!? You know, that promise about.. taking me to... With you..." Kageyama responded, his sudden burst of confidence disappearing by the end of his statement, leaving him red in the face.

"Oh my lord, why is it so embarrassing to just remind her of that anyway? Man up, Kageyama Tobio! It's just a-"

"Oh, that. Lolz I knew. Was just kidding hehe. Um, well" now it was her turn to blush.

"God, did I really say that? Why are YOU embarrassed, I was the one that declared that proudly."

The two headed to their lockers and grabbed their stuff, Kageyama then walking Y/n to her classroom.

"I guess it was kind of just in the spur of the moment kind of thing, but I meant it. If I could turn back time, Kageyama, I wouldn't have left." Y/n looked at him dead serious in the eyes, surprising the boy a little.

Since when were her eyes this easy to get lost in?

"Well, either ways. See you later Tobio. Don't doze off your classes, 'kay?" Y/n teased, smiling at him then closing the classroom door shut.

Unfortunately, Kageyama did doze off during class.

A young boy stares outside his window, eyes aimlessly wandering around borishly. He sighs, looking down at the quiet streets in his neighborhood.

Lil bro was about to sit back down and finally hit the books like his sister lovingly (threateningly) instructed him to, when the sound of engine caught his attention. Outside, a car parked in front of an empty house, the one right in front of his.

"Who could they be? Are they moving in? No one really bothers to come here unless to move in or visit..." People hardly stops by these areas, so it was only natural for young Tobio to be curious.

Tobio glanced back at his window, where as his "new neighbors" departed their tesla.

"Oh so they're RICH RICH." He thought.

A young girl with (h/l) (h/c) stepped out of the vehicle, beaming with joy. She was really excited, new environment and all.

Y/n L/n obsorved her surroundings when gaze met with a boy's around her age. She waved at Tobio, happy that she already might've found a friend.

Tobio, on the other hand, was slightly taken aback. He never really socializes with others, nor does he make efforts to. It was natural for him to panic when a pretty girl was actualy interacting with him.

Still, he smiled and waved back through his closed window as a curtsey, slightly chuckling.

And that was the beginning of their friendship...
maybe, just maybe... something... more?

For Y/n, she had made another good friend.
But for Tobio, he had acquired something he knew he must never let go of.

"Kageyama-kun! What is the answer to number 7?"
