chapter four, refreshing.

AFTER ROSE WAS DEGRADED BY HER FAMILY, she needed a nice little refresher. Her performances never faltered, however, she was very self conscious of what she did. She became hyper-aware of how she moved, danced, sang and acted. It was exhausting, really. So, Rose requested that her three friends would come and see her perform.

Her three best friends, Scarlett, Kara and Madilyn. had been in her life since she was a teenager, and she wouldn't have it any other way. The four girls immediately clicked, becoming inseparable.

Rose couldn't be any more grateful for her girls, since they were the first people to show true and utter support for Rose. Rose would be lost without them.

The three girls would be attending the show tonight, and afterwards the group would be going back to Roses apartment. Now, normally the girls never let anyone else besides their group join their sleepovers or debriefs, but Rose knew two girls thst would absolutely click with the group. The two girls names were Ashley and Amber, and they were apart of the cast.

Ashely, Amber and Rose had gotten really close, especially since Ashley was the alternate and Amber was the understudy for Satine. The three girls, when introduced, became friends almost immediately. Rose really confided in them, and she absolutely adored the two.

After much convincing, Rose was able to convince Scarlett, Madilyn and Kara to allow Ashely and Amber to come over. Rose couldn't be any more excited, her two words were colliding!

Roses energy was finally returned, having been like a lifeless body the week prior. Her body buzzed with nerves, but it was the good kind of nerves. The girl had an extra pep in her step, and her smile seemed to grow even wider than it normally was.

People smiled and greeted her as she entered the theater. Quickly, she made her way downstairs into her dressing room. She set her bags down, but before she could do anything else a sudden sound of a guitar filled her ears. Ricky was on live, like normal.

Every once in a while, Rose would go and hang out with Ricky, greeting his live. But, she hadn't been able to in a long time.

What better time than now? Rose quickly went to her friends room, his door was wide open so she just walked right in. The live began to blow up, causing the girl to smile.

However, Roses smile didn't last very long as she noticed that in the corner of Ricky's room was Aaron. The two glanced at each other, scoffing slightly. Rose continued to joke with Ricky and his live, completely ignoring Aaron.

After a little bit, Rose left to get her makeup and hair done before the show. The girl was quickly finished, leaving her with nothing to de before she had to get her wig and mic on. So, just like last week, she ran through her lines and what scenes she had when.

Eventually, she was completely ready for the show. Just in time too, as the opening number had already started. Just like everyday, Rose walked backstage, pacing as she waited for her song to come up.

It seemed as if every show the time went by faster and faster, because before Rose knew it her song was about to begin. It was the same old song and dance, make sure she's harness to the trapeze, smile, sing and the rest was like clockwork.

As quick as it started, the show ended. As Rose was taking her makeup off, Ashley and Amber came into her room, their bags in hand.

"Hey!" Rose greeted, having not been able to talk to the two during the show. Amber and Ashley quickly struck up a conversation between the three.

"So, you think they'll like us?" Amber questioned.

"Absolutely, you guys act exactly alike! They might be a bit hesitant at first, but they'll get over it." Rose informed, now getting her bags ready.

"Awesome, they seem great," Ashley smiled, standing up and getting ready to leave.

"Ready?" Amber asked the two, looking between them. The three girls quickly left the theater, stopping to sign a few playbills and to take photos.

Behind the crowd, Rose could spot her best friends. Quickly, Rose dragged Amber and Ashley to the group, causing them to give her a weird look.

"Girls! Meet Amber and Ashley," I introduce before going to introduce the others, "and this is Marilyn, Kara and Scarlett!" Rose beamed, pointing out the girls.

Almost immediately, the group clicked together. They all got along perfectly, and that made Rose the most happy she's ever been. Maybe Ashley and Amber could be apart of their friend group, the thought of it made Rose smile widely. Sure, it seemed very school girl of her, but it was exciting!

The night went on marvelously, well, up until this point. Currently, all of Roses friends decided to turn on her. Not in the backstabbing way, no, this was way worse. They were shipping her with Aaron. Absolutely not.

"Come on, you're going to ignore the way you two look at each other?"

"It's called acting, Scar."

"We know what you look like when you're acting, and that's not it." Kara said, teasing the girl. The rest of the group agreed with Kara's statement, nodding their heads.

"Come on, it's not even on stage, what about backstage? You two are always looking at each other," Ashely pointed out, causing the other girls to look at Rose with smirks on their faces.

"Yeah, because we hate each other."

"People who hate each other don't look at one another like that," Amber said, putting her hand on Roses shoulder in a joking manner. Rose couldn't hide the slight blush she didn't even know she had adorned.

"We don't like each other, you girls are just delusional."

"Oh definitely, but about this? We aren't. We are one-hundred present right, you can't change my mind," Madilyn said, crossing her arms.

"Whatever, can we stop talking about Aaron?"

"Aw, that's the first time tonight you didn't call him demon-spawn," Kara joked, laughing at Rose. The other girls joined in, including Rose.

After that little mishap, the group stopped talking about Aaron. Although, in the back of her mind, Rose was thinking. Her? Liking him? Absolutely not. There is no plant or reality that would ever have Rose liking Aaron in any way.
