Summary

Aurelius was one of the eggs that came with Drago during the reign of King Gareth and Queen Rhonu. However, when he hatched, he couldn't speak like the others instead he could speak telepathically if he chooses. When he and his hatch mates left Britannia to bring the wonder and joy of dragons to the rest of the world Aurelius settled on a tropical island of sorts. There met the royal family. The King Peter, the Queen Alice, and the princess Kinley. Aurelius didn't think much as Kinley at the time she was but a child. 

Kinley however was in awe of him. Eventually, Kinley won him over and they became friends. As the years went by Kinley's parents started getting stricter and harsher. Kinley didn't fit into the model princess that her parents wanted her to be. Soon the kingdom got some strange visitors from a far-off land. They were charismatic and charming, but Aurelius had warned the king and queen not to trust the visitors. They didn't listen and so during the night the kingdom was invaded. The Queen and King were slain in their sleep. Kinley a mere 13-year-old girl had stumbled upon her parents' bodies. 

She managed to escape the castle but as she ran to the ports to sail away, she was hit by a crossbow. In the side and in the back. Aurelius came to her aid fending off the attackers and saved her life by sharing his heart. They then fled North where the Vikings lived. There Kinley found a village called Berk. The Chief kindly accepted Kinley. Kinley kept Aurelius in a secret place in the woods as the village hated dragons. Now 15 years old Kinley's adventure is starting.
