"January 8, 2008, A snowy day in a suburb in Japan, at 7AM, a alarm rings at a normal one-bedroom, one-kitchen, one-bathroom, balcony apartment, the alarm ringtone is Everything in its right place by Radiohead. *Good Taste* You see lots of CDs in this room, plus lots of manga, must be some kind of Otaku or whatever you call that, you see a uniform hanging on a closet door from the local high school and a tidy desk. Finally a boy with brown hair that's semilong, with black eyes and white skin, wakes up, we see him write something on his diary, this is what it seems to say"
My name is Simon Ivan's, I'm 15, I go to just the local high school in my town, as regard for my town, it's just your normal town, nothing extra, nothing less, just normal. Im half British/Japanese, yet my Japanese blood is much stronger I guess, I do alright in my studies but nothing that extra-well, I don't have lots of hobbies, most things don't excite me, sports just makes me sweaty and tired, arts is alright, but someone's always gonna judge for something they don't like, gaming is fun but it can be boring after a bit. The only thing I do enjoy is two things, first is manga, my two favorite manga are "Fullmetal Alchemist" and "Bleach." Just two things that keep a boring week not boring anymore. My second being music, there are few artists I love, The Beatles, Nirvana and maybe Pink Floyd, but my absolute favorite is Radiohead, they truly are my God, and Kid A is basically my Bible. I was just around 11 when I first heard it from my elder brothers old CD collection, my mind was blown away and I could not stop listening to it. Amnesiac followed and it didn't feel the same to me and Hail to the thief really was different in my opinion. I recently heard that Radiohead was releasing a new album after 4 years named "In Rainbows," and I pray it's as good, if not better than Kid A, I'm gonna go to the record store in the next city after school today and buy it, I don't want anything to go boring today, from what I hear, it's really good, I'm really expressionless, but I'm somewhat excited to hear it. I'm gonna actually wake up now, not just sit in my bed and write a whole diary entry, I live alone also, some may call it a dream, and I guess it is, since no one has to bother me, let's just get on with the day.
"Simon wakes up and washes his face, brushes his teeth, takes a shower and proceeds to start with breakfast, since he lives alone, he makes his own meals, he already made lunch the night before, so breakfast is his main goal, he's somewhat early, so he just makes a normal Japanese breakfast called Natto, he eats expressionlessly and soon leaves home, he doesn't forget his stuff, it seems."
"He arrives at school and decides to log on his diary"
"So, I arrived at school now, I'm 30 minutes early, and bored as heck again. From what I hear, we swap seats today, I honestly do not care who it is, I just pray they are not loud or annoying, it's always hell with loud kids, I probably won't write anymore, but I'll probably just study once again, better than nothing. Take care."
"His homeroom class starts at 8:15, and they proceed with the seat swapping, Simon prays that he can sit right next to the window, at least not in the front, finally he is called and he's assigned in the 2nd last row and 2 seats away from the window, his last hope is someone quiet sitting next to him, that's what he prays for. Soon a girl pulls up next to him, she has long black hair, she's somewhat short and a bit, if not, really shy. Simon thanks the heavens for this outcome, he prays for another good outcome"
"Soon, school finally ends, and he leaves school, he's too excited to leave his stuff at home first, he just rushes for the nearest train station, he soon gets on the next train and finds a empty seat, he relaxes and counts his money while checking, he sees its enough and is happy. His train soon arrives and he goes to the nearest Tower Records, it's cold and he decides to get a hot drink afterwards, he then arrives at Tower Records and finds the aisle with the new releases"
"R...R..Radio....Radio..."
*Simon hears what a girl's voice could be, it sounds familiar, and he decides to look at it, and he realizes it's his new seat mate, he doesn't think she would recognize him, but unfortunately, she does, and she finally says one word*
"Um..You're Simon...right?" She says quietly
"Yeah...you're my seatmate...correct?" He responds
"Mhm...That's right" She responds shyly
"I don't think I catched your name...What was it?" Simon adds
She doesn't think he would continue and is shocked but replies with "Emma.... Emma Hitori..."
"I see" Simon replies "What album were you finding..."
"Oh, there's a little band I like, they're called Radiohead" Emma replies
"Oh, Radiohead is great, I love them" Simon says
"Wo-woah! Someone likes Radiohead too!??" Emma is stuned by this
"Yeah, I'm getting their next album In Rainbows, I assume you came for the same reason?" Simon comments
"Mhm! I'm excited to try it!" Emma says
"I'm a bit too" Simon then finds it
"Here it is" *Simon finds and grabs it, but drops it, Both Emma and Simon crouch down to get it, but they interlock on hands*
Emma Blushes "Ah!" Emma says as shyly "I'm sorry!"
"It's alright" Simon says "I understand, well, I'll go pay for this, see you"
Simon waves and Emma does the same
Simon then pays for the CD and leaves
Emma stays and thinks to herself "Di-did I mess up my first chance?"
*Simon goes to a Starbucks and smiles* "I feel like I'm gonna have fun this time"
*The scene changes to Simon at his house at evening, he's listening to the album and writing at his diary*
"I got the album and it's much better than the reviews so far, I like 15 step, Nude, Weird Fishes, All I Need so far, I'm on Faust Arp right now, it's a very good record, we had the seat exchange today and I got paired with this girl called Emma, she's shy, that's the first thing I noticed, very shy, it turns out she likes Radiohead as well, we shockingly met at Tower and she went to buy In Rainbows as well, she has good taste, I don't know why, but there's something unique about her, I just hope she's alright, I'm gonna finish the album then sleep.

*Meanwhile at Emma's place, she rolls on her bed, hugging her pillow while being embarassed* "Why is he so cute?!?!?!??! I hope he doesn't hate me!!!!" *She sighs and plays the album* "I wonder if he likes the album too"
