Chapter 7:"Here Today"
*February 1 2008, it's been a bit since Simon and Emma has a had a conversation, it's been really open between the two of them ever since Emma gave Simon his birthday gift, they've been talking much more ever since that day, and finally have swapped line numbers with each other. On the morning of February 1, it's just a normal school day, well at least for Simon, for Emma, it's the complete opposite. It's gonna be Valentines in 13 days and she still doesn't know what to give him, she doesn't want to ask Shiro cuz Shiro would most likely tease her once again, same goes with her family. She arrives at school still nervous and tired but becomes optimistic when she sees Simon.*
"Good Morning."
"Oh hello, Emma, Good morning." *Simon replies*
"It's been much colder these days, right?" *Emma says*
"Blame Shiro, he brings the cold wherever you go" *Simon frowns and says*
*Emma laughs and says* "I see, you two must be close, right?"
"Basically a angel with a devil" *Simon replies
"But he seems so nice though." *Emma worridley says*
"Hes a lady man remember, annoying to women, loving to men." *Simon says*
*Emma chuckles and says* "Alright, alright, I'll keep that in mind."
*Simon then checks the time after this and replies* "Oh, it's time for me to go, called by someone, I'll be back." *He waves and leaves*
"Okay, bye." *Emma waves and sighs once again* "I wonder if he ever gets annoyed by me."
"He does." *A faint voices says in the background*
"Huh? Who said that?" *Emma looks around trying to find that voice*
"He's been annoyed by you from the very start." *The voice continues*
"Huh?? Who??" *Emma tries to ask*
"Don't play dumb, it's Simon." *The voice continues*
"Do-dont be ridiculous! He said he doesn't mind me!" *Emma says worridley*
"Or does he?" *The voice replies*
"Of course he doesn't! He told me! And I believe him! Who even are you??" *Emma says annoyed at this point*
"How can you even believe him if you don't even remember who I am, Emily?" *The voice scarily says.*
"Huh?? How do you know my real name?? No one but my family knows that name!" *Emma says*
"And yet I do." *The voice walks closer to Emma* "It's been a while, Emily." *She goes in front of Emma and smiles* "Remember me?"
"Are-arent you...Min??" *Emma says shockingly*
"Correct, how have you been?" *She asks*
"I'm alright...But what the heck have you been saying! It's creeping me out!" *Emma says madily*
*Min laughs and says* "Do you really want to follow someone like that boy? Wasn't I your only friend?"
"I have more friends!! Much more than you or Simon or my family!" *Emma says*
"Let me ask you, how did you and Simon started talking? *She asks Emma*
"We started talking after we met in public..."
*Emma says shyly*
"And? Are you sure there's nothing else that happened?" *Min asks*
"Ye-yeah! That's all! Nothing more, nothing less!" *Emma tries to lighten up the mood by awkwardly laughing*
"Are you sure you didn't lay hands on each others hand?" *Min smirks and says*
"Huh!? Wh-what do you mean??" *Emma slowly lowers her smile*
"Don't play dumb, I saw it." *She then shows a picture of the incident to Emma on her phone* "Mind explaining this?"
"It's not what it looks like!!! It was a accident!! I swear!! *Emma says shyly*
*Min sighs and says* "Of all the boys you could be friends with, why him?" *Before Emma can speak, Min speaks and says.* "Come with me, Emily." *They soon leave the classroom and walk in the halls*
"Where are you bringing me, Min?" *Emma asks*
"What do you think of Simon, and what do you think he feels about you?" *Emma asks*
"He-hes nice... and he probably feels the same.." *Emma says*
"Alright, here we are." *They arrive outside the library.* "Listen closely."
*Soon they seem Simon and a another girl, Emma starts to get jealous, they're talking to each other and even smiling.*
"What's wrong? Can't Simon have other friends that are girls too?" *Emma says*
"Listen. Then talk to me." *Min says seriously."
*Emma trys to barely listen and is able to hear the words, she can barely hear the words "That girl, I can't take her."*
"Huh? What do you mean..?" *Emma asks Min*
"He's probably talking about you, haven't you noticed? He talks quietly with you, and look how's he talking with that girl, he talks different with you, in other words, he hates you." *Min says*
"No..No..He can't be like that...No!" *Emma then runs without a care*
*Min is about to chase after her but fails as she's stopped by none other than Shiro.*
"Hey, you've done your part, let's just see how Simon reacts." *Shiro smiles and says to Min*
*Min sighs and says* "Be glad I'm doing this, I don't want to do this more than anyone else. You owe me for this."
"Alright, alright, I'll take you out or whatever you want." *Shiro smiles*
"Why are you doing this again?" *Min asks*
"Just to see how much of Simon's heart changed."
*The scene changes to the Classroom and Emma sits in her chair, lifeless and sad. Soon, Simon returns.* "Sorry I took a while, the student council needed some help with something."
"Don't lie to me.." *She says coldly.* "I know who you really are."
"Huh..? What do you mean?" *Simon asks*
"You know what I mean, was I always this annoying to you, was Shiro a lady's man or was it you? Tell me! You lier!" *Emma says mad with tears in her eyes.*
"Hey, hey, what do you mean..?" *He comes closer to put his hand on her shoulder, but before he could do that, Emma pushes her hand away.*
"Leave me alone!" *Emma says and runs away.*
"Hey, wait up!" *Simon starts to chase after Emma and Shiro and Min appears at the back of the hallway*
"I hate you...you know..." *Min says*
"I'm sorry" *He smiles and chuckles.* I guess you could say, love is here today, and it's gone."
