*January 25 2008, Saturday evening, it's just another evening for Emma, she'd usually just stay at home once again, after all, it's really just relaxing. Just imagine this, you take a nice hot shower while it's real cold outside, it's a Saturday evening, you go change to your pajama's or whatever that's comfortable for you, you just lay in bed and relax, and that's the life for Emma and she loves it, just laying down in bed, drawing or making photo albums while listening to music on her iPod. Ah, the life, that is until she got a sudden message, who is it from? None other than Shiro. (How does he get people's number's so quick?) This is what the message says. (Keep in mind, they still haven't met yet.)
"Good evening, I believe this must be one of Simon's only friend's other than me, thank you for being friend's with him, I believe I should introduce myself, My name is Shiro, and I've been friends with him for who knows how long, the reason why I'm writing this message is that I want ideas, tomorrow is Simon's birthday and I still haven't gotten him anything...."
*Emma instantly blushes really hard, this is the first time she's hearing of this, and besides, how can she know if this is Shiro really? And if so, what would Simon even want? She knows that Simon likes Radiohead, would a record or CD make sense? Nah, he probably has their whole discography already, she decides to send Shiro a message*
"Go-good evening, it's no problem's that I'm friends with him, My name is Emma..before I ask, is there anything Simon likes other than music? like maybe something to eat...or something he just likes in general?" *She sends the message*
"I believe he enjoys warm Pizza, it gives him some comfort apparently, he really loves music, that's one thing for sure, he does read some manga, his favorite is Bleach and Fullmetal alchemist." *Shiro replies*
"Ah, alright, thank you very much, I appreciate the offer" *Emma sends the message*
"No problem, have a good night" *Shiro politely says*
*Emma thinks to herself* "He's doesn't seem much of a lady's man, Simon lied." *She laughs* "So what do I get Simon? I probably won't give him a CD or Book, it's late, plus, I'm broke." *She thinks harder to herself* "If I was Simon what would I want?"
*She decides to go down and get water to calm herself while she thinks, while she's down, her mom see's her stressed out face and says.*
"What's wrong? Did you fight with your boyfriend?"
"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!" *Emma screams* "HE'S JUST A FRIEND!!!"
"So why did Aoi said you had a crush on him or something?" *Emma's mom asks*
"DON'T BELIEVE THAT LIAR! EVER!" *Emma talks back*
"Alright, alright, I'm just kidding with you" *Emma's Mom says* "Why do you look so stressed out though? Something wrong?"
"It's his birthday...and I don't know what to get him." *Emma responds*
"Just buy him something with your money." *Her mom responds*
"I'm broke right now..." *Emma says*
"You spent it all, lemme guess?" *Her mom says*
"Ye-yeah.." *Emma says*
"You're never gonna get a boyfriend if you're gonna keep wasting your money like that" *She smiles and says*
"Sh-shut up..." *Emma blushes and says*
"Alright, here's what I'll say, have I told you what I did around the time me and your dad we're dating?" *Her mom asks*
"You told me a lot, but what are you referring to?" *Emma asks*
"When it was your father and I we're your age, I too asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he just told me, to make him something he would like, but it would be made using something that I was good at, it was to show that I can make him happy even in my own way, it's something cute now that I look back." *She smiles as she remembers this old memory*
"I see, should I do something like that?" *Emma asks*
"Sure, if that's what you want to do" *She tells her*
"Al-alright" *Emma goes back upstairs but before she leaves she says* "Hey mom, thanks."
"No problem" *Her mom smiles* "Just tell your boyfriend happy birthday."
"Shut up..." *Emma frowns and leaves*
*Her mom sighs and decides to drink wine and says*
"When did my little baby grow up so fast?"
*Soon Emma decides to craft something on what could Simon would like and enjoy, the only thing she's really good is drawing's, photo albums and crocheting, she doesn't think a drawing would be great, she could do a sketch of him or of something he likes, but he wouldn't always get the chance to see it, a photo album would be cute or memorable but then again, she doesn't have much pictures of him and her together, plus it would make them feel like they're a couple.... and that would make her blush as hell... So she decides to leave it with crocheting, she decides to crochet something he know he would like, he decides to make the Radiohead mascot with Edward Elric's clothes from Fullmetal alchemist + Kisuke Urahara's hat from Bleach with him holding a pizza*
"I'm not gonna get any sleep tonight, Simon, I love you so you better give me something in return for this.."
*She smiles and starts making a sketch on what it could look like, soon she starts the crochet itself, it's over 11pm already and she's still working on this just for him*
"I'm tired as heck, it's almost done, gonna write a letter saying it's from me and all that, don't want him to think a random person just made it and sent it to him..."
*She soon finishes the crochet and starts the letter and writes
Dear Simon
Thank you for being a great friend for all this time, Happy birthday, I'm sorry you have to deal with a girl as clumsy as me, I'm always thankful for your words of suggestion and kindness, I hope we can be friends for now and then
Emma
She considered writing a "I love you" but she felt that could end their friendship so she decided not to, soon, she left their house this late and went to Simon's house to deliver this present, it's cold and she hopes no one sees her out this late, it would make her feel scared a lot. When she finally does arrive at Simon's place, she places the present at his doorstep, but soon, someone walks by, it's Simon.*
"Emma? What are you doing her so late?"
"HUH!? SIMON!? UH....GOOD EVENING, THIS IS FOR YOU! GOODBYE!" *She is blushing so much and runs away after she says that*
*Soon Simon reads the letter and smiles once he sees the gift, that girl really is something to him, he's never found affection to most people, but their's something really unique about Emma, something that he can't distinguish, lot's of girls liked him and even confessed to him over the years, but he would always reject them, thinking he's better off alone, but with Emma, he feels somewhat happy and somewhat mature, a happy guy in the end, he decides to walk in his apartment and just place the crochet and he just says*
"She's got the look, she's drives me wild*
