...
It's dark.
It's quiet.
He's in pain.
. .he can think. He's thinking. Acknowledging.
He's alive.
He needs to get up.
And as such, he did. Wobbly legs, like a baby taking their first steps. Oddly enough, his sense of hearing came right back to him— making Flux look towards the cockpit. In it's direction, some light emitting from the wall. Along with. .[Please reboot.]
An automated voice. Familiar enough to invoke a mixture of relief.. and mild annoyance. [89% of users are satisfied after rebooting. .]
It rambles on and on. Particularly because Flux wanted to hear what the A.I. was going to say next. But the main reason hesitance in moving his arms. Hurts way too much.
Thus, came the brilliant idea of slamming his face onto the console and activate the reboot. Which was. .more painful than he thought it would be, but it worked, didn't it? The interior of the ship brightens with life, among a couple electrical sparks. Obviously, it's damaged, but it's. . operational, to say the least.
. .Ah, there's everyone else. Still unconscious, he guessed.
「Greetings. I am S.A.I.L. Short for Ship-based Artificial Intelligence Lattice. 」
❝Uh. Hello.❞
Oh. So it's a different one this time.
「I have received data from another Artificial Intelligence that has merged with me. Earth was attacked by an unknown force and was destroyed.」
❝. .What?❞
「The integrity of the ship is thirty seven percent. 」
❝Waitwaitwait-❞
「Ship thrusters are damaged. Landing on the surface of any planet is dangerous.」
❝I—❞
「We are now currently orbiting an unknown planet. Scanners are damaged.」
❝THE EARTH IS DESTROYED??❞ He yelled out. Information upon information, that was the only thing which mattered to him. 「Yes. Earth was attacked by an unknown force and was subsequently destroyed.
The integrity of the ship. . 」
It repeats. Which he immediately ignores as he attempted to swallow the information. That, was impossible. Leaning against the wall as he reopened his mind to take it all in.
The ship engine was damaged too. No wonder why the lights kept flickering. And as he opened the hatch, a puff of smoke assaults his senses. Disgusting.
The light from above showed little about the engine below. But from the puff off smoke, the wave of heat, and a few wires he was able to make out.. the engine was full on busted. Great.
❝Sail. Turn off the engine.❞ Flux says, head popping out of the hatch. Sights locked onto a cabinet attached to walls.
Click. The lights go back to sleep, and the heat lingers amongst the ship. It was too dangerous to have the engine on. At least there was light still coming from the console.
𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘦𝘦𝘬. The cabinet opens. And he can't see what was inside. Great, wonderful. Blindly shoving & moving his hands inside it until he felt a cylinder shaped object. Please let this be--
❝Yes!❞
A flashlight. Good, now he can see everything else. Some tape, two med kits, and. .a gun?
Well, a simple pistol could help. Despite his lack of knowledge of this weapon. How's he supposed to check the magazine again? Pulling it?
