"You're late." I slowly look up and awkwardly smile.
"I'm sorry, there was traffic. It won't happen again." I rush to my small locker, grabbing my apron before filling it with my bag.
"It better not. Today is the busiest day, especially in the mornings and you are our best worker." My boss, Mr. Francois, scolds me as he flips over the open sign, announcing to all the nearby people we are now open.
It's been years since I've graduated high school and I'm now 27 years old working as a waitress in a local coffee and pastry shop. After Alastor disappeared I decided not to dwell on it. I missed him and his company I really did but I needed to focus on the present. Besides he was probably just using me and finally got bored. I blocked him off, away, out his thought elsewhere, and whatever other synonyms there are. Basically he's just a forgotten part of my past. I moved away from my old town, I still kept small contact with my parents though of course.
"Hello, what can I get for you today?" I greet the customer who just walked inside with a smile, "Oh! Hey, Chris!"
Chris was a usual customer, he came in everyday and ordered the same thing.
"Hey Y/N! I'll just get the usual, thank you!" He pulls out the correct amount of money from his pocket before handing it to me to place in the register.
"Alright, here's your white coffee and blueberry scone!" I hand him his order before waving him goodbye as he walks out the door.
As the day progresses more and more people enter and exit the small bakery-like shop. While the shop is small the business is huge.
"Hey Y/N! Sorry I'm a little late, I almost ran out of gas halfway here and had to fill up my tank!" My co-worker and best friend, well new best friend since high school, Penny runs in and quickly changes.
"Nah, you're fine! I was late too so I can't exactly talk much." We laugh before getting back to work. It was always more fun when we were both assigned the same shift.
~ 3rd Person ~
Alastor never forgot her but neither did he ever visit. He was too scared to. He thought about it, he really did. He's pace back and forth in his tower. The clicking of his shoes the only sound. He went on rampages all the time, grew his reputation even more than it already was, he fought a war with exterminators, fought the first man, almost died while fighting the first man. That wasn't something anyone could do. And still never had the courage to visit. Ever.
To say he actually missed her company was an understatement. One could say he craved the girls company. To hear her rant about the things she lived while he'd listen. Their small little shopping trips where he'd make sure she never left without something. Their dance lessons everyday. He never forgot. They played in his mind like a broke record. Repeating. Repeating. Repeating. It was like he was going insane, if he ever was sane in the first place. Sometimes he's try to visit, he really did. All he saw was an abandoned room. Just old furniture and a couple pictures frames. That was all that was left behind.
He figured that she forgot about him. Decided to abandon him just like he did her.
It's been however many years and he still hasn't moved on. He knew he'd see her again. After all, she did make a deal with him and all while it wasn't her soul, it was still a deal. She was damned to hell.
The staff noticed, noticed how he became more isolated. Charlie was worried, he would always pop up everywhere. Vaggie was happy to say the least, she didn't have to worry about him anymore. Husk knew and he didn't know what to believe. If he was just upset over losing a future pawn or he actually cared. Probably the first. Angel was more confused than anything. And Nifty didn't know what was going on, too focused on cleaning. Lurk felt the same way. Lurk missed her, not only did she name him but she cared.
Alastor debated whether he should find her, explain everything. Why he left, why he's back, why he was gone for so long...
Oh who was he kidding, as if he'd be able to do that. So there he sat. In his recording studio. Deep breath. In. Out. In. Out.
'Smile.'
"Three."
"Two."
"O̶η⁅."In. Out.
"Hello Hell! Why it's so good to be back! Hope you all missed me! Haha... Now, shall we get started?"
He could do this. Perhaps if he returned to his old routine he'd feel better. Perhaps he could forget about all the regret and anguish he had. Perhaps it's what she would have wanted...

Okay, so I'm back once again, honestly I have no idea where all that writing came from for Alastor. I suppose I got carried away, in a good way I hope. I apologize for not updating in forever, school has got me so busy. Either way, I hope you liked this chapter!
