Charlie plops my room key in my hand and I quickly bid myself goodbye as I speed walk into the hall. In my favor I didn't see him at all in my rush to lock myself inside the small safety of my new unfamiliar room. Quickly scanning all the rooms I pass I finally see room 165. And right across from that? Room 166.
Room 166 whose door was currently creaking open.
Room 166 whose door revealed a red-clad man. Room 166 whose inhabitants eyes met mine. Room 166 whose inhabitant I didn't want to see.
Room 166 whose inhabitant starts to speak.

"Y/N..."

I jumble around my keys, 'Why are there so many keychains?! Sh*t!' I drop them.

"Darling, please just-" They keys are grabbed and the door is finally unlocked and i attempt to rush inside. Attempt. Alastor grabs my arm before I can fully enter.

"Let go."

"Dear-"

"I said let go."

"Y/N, will you please just listen to me?"

"Alastor. Let. Go. Of. Me." I emphasize every word as I struggle against the man's tight grip.

"No, not until you listen to me. Please, Y/N, darling, I can explain. Just let me explain." He's begging at this point. I've never heard him sound this desperate before, I almost feel guilty. The demon continues to ramble and his grip tightens even more around my arm.

"GET THE F*CK OFF ME!" His grip hurts, probably has bruised or is bleeding already so my only solution was to shout. That solution also managed to gain every other persons attention as they all run into the hallway. Alastor lets go of my grip, taking a step back and his ears fall back.

"What is hell is going on here?" Vaggie enters the conversation, pointing her spear between the two of us.

Angel Dust breaks the long silence, "Holy sh*t toots, the hell happened to your arm? It's bleeding."

I look down at my arm, golden blood was dripping from the claw marks embedded there, of course with the blood flowing you couldn't tell they were claw marks. "Oh."

I didn't pay attention as Charlie spoke, as Angel took me by my uninjured arm and gently led me to the lobby, or as a pop of static covered a small whimper. Everything fell to deaf ears as I stared.

"-oots. Toots. You with me?" Angel broke me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, um, yeah. Sorry." I shake my head and hold out my arm.

Diligently the pink spider starts to clean the blood, I wince every now and then as he applies the disinfectant.

Once he's done cleaning he breaks the silence again, "Sooo, what-what was that, if ya don't mind tellin' me." He places the disinfectant down and grabs a roll of gauze.

"Um, well. You promise you won't tell?" I quest down and look into the ground, curling into myself but keeping my arm where it is right now. I don't know but I feel like I should trust the spider in front of me.

"Pinky swear, I ain't no snitch." He whispers, "Besides, snitches are cowards." We both start laughing together.

"Alastor." Deep Breath. "Alastor and I knew each other when I was alive. In my court meeting when I said my friends and I contacted someone, that someone-"

"Holy sh*t, smiles? You contacted smiles? F*ck." He cuts in.

"Yeah well, after that he wouldn't leave me specifically alone. Sooner or later we became friends, if that's what you'd call it. I made a deal with him, not with my soul but still a deal. Something happened and I still don't understand what but after that he just-"1,2,3. Breathe out. "He just left. Years past and I moved on. Well as best as I could. I got a job, made new friends. That's how I died. One of them was another angel, she said something about him helping kill an Adam person and then stabbed me. I'm pretty sure she was hoping I'd land in Hell but no, I landed in Heaven. Sorry I'm rambling I tend to do that."
