The next morning, Anirudh woke up to the sound of chirping birds outside his window.
He stretched lazily and reached out for Bondita, but she was not beside him. He glanced at the clock and realized it was already 7 AM.
Bondita must have gone for her morning prayers, he thought to himself.
Quickly getting ready, Anirudh made his way downstairs to the dining area.
As he entered the room, he was greeted by the sight of Bondita setting up breakfast on the table.
She looked ethereal, with her hair cascading down her back and a veil covering her head.
The soft clinking of her bangles and the tinkling sound of her anklets filled the room, adding to her aura of grace and beauty.
Anirudh couldn't help but stare at her, his heart filled with love and admiration for his wife.
She truly was a goddess in his eyes, and he felt blessed to have her in his life.
Lost in his thoughts, he didn't realize when his brother, Som came there.
Som observed Anirudh's gaze and couldn't resist teasing him.
Som : Dada, itna nahi ghurte warna khud ki hi nazar lag jaati hai.
he said with a smirk. Anirudh blushed, feeling embarrassed at being caught staring at Bondita so openly.
Trying to cover up his embarrassment, he stammered,
Ani : Main kaha ghur raha hu main toh bass..
Som : Chupane ki zarurat nahi hai dada, aapki biwi hai ghurne ka haq hai par abhi chale.
Anirudh nodded sheepishly.
Everyone sat for breakfast.
Bon : batuk kaha hai, yeh ladka kabhi nahi sudhrega, jaldi uthna toh pata nahi kab sikhega aap log baithiye main usse lekar aati hu.
She went to his room.
As Bondita opened the door to Batuk's room, she never expected to find what she did. Her heart sank as her eyes fell upon the alcohol bottle on his bedside table.
She stumbled over a glass, her heart racing with a mixture of shock and anger.
Batuk was sleeping soundly, oblivious to the chaos he had caused.
Bondita clenched her fists, feeling a surge of frustration and helplessness. She knew that she couldn't say anything to anyone, especially not to Anirudh.
He had a fierce temper, and she dreaded to think what he might do if he found out about batuk's drinking habits.
With a heavy heart, Bondita quietly closed the door to Batuk's room and made her way downstairs to the dining table.
Ani : Kya hua, utha nahi?
She forced a smile
Bon : Woh patibabu, Batuk ko thoda sarr dard hai. Woh thodi der mein uth jayega.
He nodded.
As she served breakfast to everyone at the table, her mind was still preoccupied with Batuk. She couldn't shake off the image of him lying there, lost in the depths of alcohol-induced slumber.
She knew that something had to be done, but she was at a loss as to how to address the situation.
Ani : Bondita.
He called out to her, breaking her reverie.
Ani : Mr. Parker ke pote ka birthday hai. Unhone hume pure pariwar ke sath invite kiya hai."
Bon : Haa patibabu, uncle ne mujhe bataya tha.
she replied, trying to mask her unease.
Ani : Thik hai toh kaka, main aur Bondita court se seedha pohoch jayenge. Aap log waqt par aa jaana.
Kaka : thik hai, binoy aur hume zara karkhana jaana hai hum wahi se aa jayenge, som tum batuk aur sampurna aa jaana.
Som : ji kaka, Baudi main chalta hu.
Bon : Dada, thik se nashta toh kijiye.
Som : baudi abhi waqt nahi hai main baad mein kha lunga sorry.
Bon : koi baat nahi par time par kuch kha lena.
He nodded and left.
After breakfast,
Ani : bondita taiyar ho jao jaldi phir nikalte hai.
Bon : patibabu aap jaiye main baad mein aa jaungi.
Ani : kyu kya hua?
Bon : woh aaj Parker uncle ne waise bhi chutti di hai aur mera koi case nahi hai aaj aap jaiye main baad mein aa jaungi.
Ani : thik hai lekin time se aa jaana.
She nodded, everyone left for their respective works.
Sampurna went to her room.
Batuk woke up with a splitting headache, regretting the decision to drink excessively the night before.
As he stumbled down the stairs, clutching his head,
Batuk : Koyeli, coffee laana.
He croaked, his throat dry from the heavy drinking. But instead of coffee, he found a glass of lemonade placed in front of him.
Batuk : Koyeli, maine nimbu pani nahi coffee maangi thi.
Confused, he looked up at Koyeli, the helper, only to see Bondita standing there with a look of anger and disappointment.
Bondita's cold stare. She spoke in a sarcastic tone,Bon : Pee lijiye chote zamindar, nasha utarne ke liye nimbu pani hi kaam aata hai.
She then handed him a painkiller and watched as he reluctantly took it with the lemonade.
Feeling guilty and ashamed, Batuk tried to apologize,
Batuk : Sorry baudi, maine phir se shuru kar diya. Maine promise kiya tha ki kabhi phir se drink nahi karunga, par woh.
But she was not easily pacified.
Bon : Harr baar sorry kehne se baat khatam nahi hoti, Batuk.
she said, her voice tinged with hurt. With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Batuk to contemplate his actions.
