What they reacted to, made Alberu think if he and his siblings would ever go so far for each other if they had been raised as siblings and not rivals.

Oh, he loves and respects them especially his sisters but because of Cosette they were unable to become closer and actually get to know each other well.

It still surprised Alberu that Robbit had invited all of his siblings personally to his wedding instead of just sending an invitation or let the rumors of his future wedding do the job as it would be expected of them for not being that close.

Was he so deep in fighting for the throne that he simply didn't realize that his siblings wanted a relationship with him? They had no problem with him being a quarter dark elf and...just now did he realize that every free time he had there was at least one of his siblings nearby.

"What's on your mind, my son?" he hears someone ask and when he looks up he sees his father looking at him

"Nothing" Alberu lies but Zed seems to know

"You are a lot like me" Zed sighs and seats beside Alberu "You have the same look I had whenever I thought if Judith-noona and my cousins did love me despite me being the chosen one to be crown prince and if I was deserving of said love" he adds and Alberu looks surprised at hearing that

"You...you doubted their love?" Alberu asks surprised as with the small interactions that they had all seen between them, he would have never thought that his father had doubted his uncles and aunts love for Zed

"I even doubted many times if Cynthia and Nigel loved me...well, I still do that about Nigel" Zed admits with a sad smile "I can't say it is easy to get over this doubt but I know that one day you will suddenly notice that you are not asking yourself if they really love you as you finally trust their love for you" he explains 

"I see" Alberu says as he could understand what his father was trying to say as his doubts and fears won't suddenly disappear but with time they would become a minor thing until they are gone or Alberu forgets them "...Did I ever meet him?" he asks after a few minutes of comfortable silence between them

"Nigel?" Zed asks and Alberu nods his head at that "You did, you loved to be picked up by him or when he told you crazy stories" he answers

"Why do I not remember?" Alberu asks as he had no memories of ever meeting Nigel or even Cale as he is supposing that he must have met Cale before because of that one scene shown when they were reacting to Zed's generation

"The trauma of losing your mother made you forget some things" Zed answers and Alberu realizes that what his father said made sense as he has forgotten many things from before his mother died outside of her and even then sometimes he couldn't really remember her face "There is nothing wrong with that and I am sure they would be more than happy to talk with you again and get to meet you once more" Zed adds

"Truly?" Alberu asks and Zed nods "Thank you" he says and Zed only smiles and pats his son's head before leaving to where Judith was talking with Belladona
