When I look back at how we began, Xavier writes while Iris wrote the next line allowing things to continue that way until they were done.

“It’s a nice poem.” Iris sighs with her hands on either side of her face, but she notices his looks were just plain as if something else was in his head.

“Iris… Please can you tell me what's going on in your family.”

She sighs “You probably didn't know how many times I was physically hurt while we texted. So what's the point telling you now?” she said so plainly with her heads down low afraid to meet his eyes.

“Show me your scars, I wanna know how many times you needed me and I wasn't there.” He raises her head, initiating a deep eye contact.

She sighs, breaking eye contact.“ Scars don’t matter,I can't see them but I can tell where each of them are.” She stood up walking over to the window.

“I know things are difficult with you-” he says as softly as he can,not knowing she just hates to hear anyone talk about how bad her family was so much. She was extremely annoyed, fine she's told him a couple of things online without him even asking, but that was voluntarily. And it was all because in that situation he was her comfort, but the meeting just meant that they should really take things slow.

“And why's that, Xav?!, don't you know it's all your fault?,it's because you came into my life stealing what belongs to me. Fine I was initially happy that, yay my favorite video game player was actually here and he's all super nice and really easy to talk to,But I never knew things would get difficult to the extent of being called loathsome by my own father, okay I appreciate the fact that you're so concerned but please,I got to figure things out and I don't acknowledge you asking frivolous questions." She says turning her face to him, raising her voice.

She realizes what she just did the moment he stepped back with hurt in his eyes and one hand crossed across his heart.

“Let’s just  forget it.” She says more serenely while watching him look down.

“I was a blockhead trying to make you feel  better,I totally understand.” He mumbled, but she heard him.

The thing is no matter how hard and frustrating things get,no matter the kind of personality you have,no matter what life has let you be through,no matter how annoyed you can be; The truth is that you aren't meant to talk out of it,‘out of your feelings at that moment.’ because you don't really know how hard your words can be on someone, the person trying to ‘help’. And she knew that whatever she was feeling wasn't meant to consume her at all. She knew she raised her voice, she knew it was all her fault he was here and he was possibly going to get into trouble. And her just doing that was just ‘wrong’.

“I’m sorry..” She walks up to meet him, hugging and giving him comfort she felt her parents were meant to give her.

“I wasn't thinking,I said that frantically. I'm really sorry,I wasn't meant to raise my voice saying that to my long time virtual bestie that became a reality, I've just been scummy.” She embarrassingly chuckles. To be honest, Iris out of innocence had a good heart, and he knew that.

She wasn't meant to apologize at all but she thought of Xavier as a good guy not meaning to hurt her in any way and only trying to help and she appreciated it.

As a matter of fact Iris had feelings too, even though Xavier was trying to help he was getting kind of nosy and it affected her. She sent a signal,‘a not so good one.’ and hell yeah he got it. She hasn't been the scummy one,the truth is he's been the one. He wasn't being a gentleman,he triggered the wrong button and she reacted to it the way it hurt her. He's been the scum.
