Chapter 4: Basket-box

She sat with Julie, who didn't cease talking about Xavier as they ate.

"I find him so attractive and easy going.. he's just soft,my type of man." She says observing Iris rolling her eyes at her words.

"He's okay." Iris paused, "But you like
Jake," Julie has had a crush on him for months,she rolled her eyes realising that the world now depended on looks and any thing outside was just nothing.

But there are people out there with good hearts and beautiful souls that unfortunately don't have the looks, and are excluded from the social world,it isn't't their fault they are introverts,they aren't aliens and they don't hate people,they just hated the world.

"The thing with humans is that, feelings are uncontrollable, and even if it can be tried to be controlled,it always overcomes." Julie says resting her hands on her friends' shoulders as Iris gave her a side eye.

Well..

That was a lie.

If Iris had open her mouth to tell Julie that Xavier was rook, she would have let her feelings consume her. And truth be told, she liked Rook, not Xavier, it would be foolish to be in a relationship with a person you just met physically even if you've had a million conversations with them, you just need to know them physically too.

"Woah woah woah I love me than I love him.. I just wanted to see your reaction," she says laughing. "I'm still on my handsome,funny Jake. I can't believe you thought I was that way.. c'mon I'm the right one to be with."

"So you were kind of mocking me,you little brat." She used Josh's words "Funny enough I discovered he's rook."

"Oh my words!" Julie exclaimed loud enough for everyone to look at her.
"Oh my my.." she tries not to swear.

"Shut up." Iris whispers.

Getting herself.

"How?"

" It's a bit complicated." Iris says stuffing her brownie in her mouth while looking round and she clashed her eyes with someone's eyes.

Those eyes..

Those eyes.

Xavier eyes,were on her.

And not just that their faces were clashed.

And her mouth.

And his mouth.

And their mouths were filled with food.

Their faces flushed with embarrassment.

He smiled at her even with food in his mouth but it was cute.

She would have laughed but brownies were in her mouth and it would be bye bye Xavier if she opened her mouth and he saw her teeth.

"Someone's got a crush.." Julie sings out.

"No,I don't." She turns her face to avoid blushing more right in front of Julie.

Julie was a best friend,but also a pain in the a*s,she could be sweet,fun and annoying.
But her obnoxiousness was at the highest level.

As the bell rang it was time for her basketball training and she hurriedly went to the changing room as Julie went her own way for sprint.

Coming out from the changing room with her basketball Jersey on,she sighted Xavier coming out from the boys changing room with his friends.
Benson, Keith and Collins.

Keith was a sophomore and the youngest in the squad,he was fun to talk with,he had green eyes and blonde hair,being all cool,girls were always around him.
Benson was the big mouth and the funny one,he was cute and tall with midnight black curly hair and emerald green eyes,but he just wasn't interested in girls.
Collins was literally good looking, muscular and tall,he laughed at the most awkward moments sometimes,and was the girl-guy amongst them all.
