"Kai! Kai! Wake up!"

"Wake up buddy!"

"Please! Kai!"

The ninja had not heard of Kai since nearly five hours, and they began to get worried. So Zane, Nya, Cole and Jay were now searching for Kai in the subway. They looked through a tunnel that wasn't on any of their maps and found Kai there. When they got there, Kai was unconscious, lying on the floor.

"He's knocked out," Cole said.

"We need to evacuate him. Immediately," Zane said. "Nya and Jay, grab his arms. Cole help me and grab one of his legs,"

They followed the nindroids' instructions and carried Kai out of the subway system. Once they were out, Nya called Harumi to lower a gurney. Harumi followed, pressing a button that lowered a bed so Kai could be carried up. They placed the fire ninja on the bed and gave a signal to the Princess to elevate the gurney. Then Harumi let down a few ropes so the ninja could come up. She lifted them up, and the ninja hopped on the Bounty.

"What happened?" The jade princess asked.

She saw Kai's damaged body. He had a few scars on his body. He also seemed to have burns on his gi.

"The Quiet One got to him," Nya said. "Zane. What should we do?"

"Firstly, we need to take him to a bed. Then, I will assess the damage,"

The ninja followed Zane's instructions, and carried Kai to a bed.

Three hours.

That's how long Kai had been knocked out. At least since the ninja got to him. Nya was getting worried, even after Zane reassured her that Kai was going to be fine.

But what if he isn't?

Nya was sitting beside Kai, resting her head on her boyfriend, Jay. They were sitting against the wall, on the floor.

"Jay, do you think, maybe Kai isn't okay?" Nya asked.

"You heard what Zane said, Nya. He's going to be okay," Jay said, wrapping an arm around her. "It's all going to be okay. We're going to find Lloyd and Kai's going to wake up. I promise,"

Nya smiled. It was reassuring to see someone think so positively at this time.

The couple waited for about 30 minutes later and eventually Nya went to sleep in Jay's arms. Jay sat there and waited awake, and then Kai woke up.

"Nya! Nya! Kai woke up!" Jay said waking his girlfriend up. The Water Ninja sprung up as soon as he heard him.

"Where am I? What- what happened? Why is my body sore?"  Kai asked while stretching his arms.

"I don't know, but you're okay!" Nya said hugging her big brother.

Kai winced in pain, but since it was his sister he allowed her to hug him. Then Kai pulled away. He recollected himself, and then he remembered then, what happened at the fight. No.

"Jay, can you call everyone here? I need to tell all of you guys something," Kai said.

He was going to break the news to them. He had to. It was going to happen either way. He couldn't just let his friends live in a lie. They needed to know the truth. The truth.
