Chapter 1-A Creative Distraction

Jasmine woke up to the sound of Antonio's snoring. She felt frustrated and alone. She rolled over to look at him and saw his face peaceful in sleep. Sighing, she got out of bed and decided to start her day early. As she made herself a cup of coffee, she couldn't help but think about how different her life was from what she had imagined. She had thought that marriage would be a partnership, but lately, it felt like she was carrying the load alone.

As she sipped her coffee, Jasmine felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes. She missed the Antonio who used to hold her hand, who used to make her laugh, who used to look at her like she was the only person in the world.

She was designing a beautiful wedding gown for a client, a strapless, mermaid-style dress with intricate beading and lace details. She was determined to make it perfect, but her mind kept wandering back to Antonio.

After lunch, Jasmine returned to her studio, feeling a bit better after eating and taking a short walk. Jasmine opens the bag to find a beautiful silver necklace with a tiny pendant shaped like a pen rib.

"It's lovely!" She exclaims, touched by Elizabeth's thoughtfulness.

Elizabeth explains that the pendant represents creativity and inspiration, and Jasmine feels a surge of gratitude for her friend's support and encouragement.

Jasmine sits down at her desk, pen and paper in hand, and starts sketching out some new fashion ideas inspired by Elizabeth's gift.
