I woke up to the sound of loud footsteps as I slowly opened my eyes, realising that I wasn't dead and very much alive! Turning my head around, my sister, Mel was at the edge of bed, as I stretched my hand towards her. She gasped, putting her hand to her mouth as she saw me. "Oh, thank goodness! You're ok" she said tearfully, wiping her wet face. "W-W-Where am I?" I asked slowly, trying to get up, but my body was too exhausted to do so. "You're in the infirmary ward. I didn't think you would make it. Your wounds were so great, so they had to give you a blood transfusion" Mel answered, as I look down at my now-dried up wound. "How long was I out?" I asked again. "2 months. I know.... it's a lot to take in" she answered, as a wave of nausea hit me suddenly. Then I remembered what had taken place that night: the explosions, Mylo and Claggor, Vi, Vander, Powder and.... Ekko! "Wait, where's Ekko?" I asked, breathing heavily. "Ekko? Who's Ekko? My sister asked curiously and confused at the same time. I slumped back down into my bed, turning my face away from her, not even bothering to answer the question. After that, I noticed a shiny, glimmering necklace on the table next to me, with an hourglass icon engraved on it . "What's this?" I asked, showing my sister, and she shrugged her shoulders. "We found you with it on, so I'm not sure. Oh, is that the time already?! I'm late for another meeting.to discuss Jayce Talis's findings around the Hexcore" Mel replied, getting up off the bed. "Oh, the one that got expelled from the grounds? He went up the ladder quick. And what's a Hexcore?" I asked, eager to know. "You've missed a lot, but I'll fill you in later. For now, rest up and no wondering off!" she ordered me, as I chuckled to myself. "Yes maam".

7 years later...

Ekko POV:

7 years had passed since I lost the others. Vi was gone, I couldn't save Powder, also known as Jinx, and Semona...Semona. I wonder what she'd be like if she was alive now. "Hey Ekko, snap out of it. It's time" Eve replied, as I nodded my head to round everybody up.

"Let's go!!" one of the firelights members shouted, as we raided the shipping dock. "Ah, shoot, the Firelights!" one of the men replied, as we swarmed the entire place and set off a couple of bombs to keep the bad guys secure. I dodged every bullet I could ever imagine with my hoverboard and punched a few guys along the way before landing on the ground "We have five minutes til they're out of there" I replied, setting my stopwatch on a timer. The three of us opened a barrel containing a large amount of pink-covered liquid: shimmer. "You ever seen this much shimmer?" Eve asked. "They're expanding. Check for more below. Burn it all" I instructed, as two of my team members went down below to look for more shimmer. Suddenly, a loud explosion shook the whole ship, coming from below, as I realised the two Firelights underneath were dead. Smoke covered, as the hatch to underneath cranked open. A girl with blue pigtails and leather boots emerged from the smoke, recognising who it was: Jinx. "Hi" Jinx said, blowing a piece of hair out of her face, unleashing a rage of fury with bombs heading towards my team and knocking some of them out. I lunged straight for her with bombs of my own, but she dodged them swiftly.

While she was distracted, I quickly emptied out a few barrels of shimmer and whistled at Eve as a signal to let her know our work is done. As Eve was about to set the shimmer on fire, Jinx grabbed her hand as she froze and stared at her for a good while, as the match was about to hit the ground. Eve managed to break free until Jinx shot her. Everything went in slow motion as I ran towards Eve, who was now dead. Angry at that moment and looking at my stopwatch timer, which was now up, I was ready to kill Jinx there and then, but Scar grabbed me before I could do anything.

Today was Progress Day here in Piltover, as the markets and streets were filled with laughter and joy, along with festive music, celebrating Jayce's victory with the Hex gemstone. I was standing next to Caitlyn, who was on duty, as she noticed I seemed a bit distant. "Hey, is everything OK?" she asked, putting her hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, I guess so" was all I managed to come up with. "Semona..we've known each other since we were 7 years old, you can talk to me", Caitlyn reassured me, as I took a deep breath. "I just feel like something is missing, that's all. But I don't know what that is" I replied. Caitlyn thought for a moment, before speaking. "Tell you what, you can come with me on one of my assignments. I'm really supposed to be overseeing my mother's tent but she doesn't need me. There's been an ongoing investigation and she'd do anything to keep me from seeing the real world." she said, as I chuckled. "Well, what's life without living a little" I replied, as she smiled back at me, before I followed her towards the crime scene.
