The moon shone through the only non covered window, shining down and lighting up the room. Footsteps echoed softly throughout the empty hall. A creaking noise could then be heard from the room door opening slowly then a soft click as it closed shut again.
Looking into the room filled with light the man could make out a figure sleeping restlessly on the bed. A frown pulled across his face as he rolled over, the light filling his face making it look dull.
Michael smiled softly as he walked over towards the bed sitting on the edge near his husband. His fingers making their way to the others hair, combing through it gently. He watched as his husbands face softened slightly, rolling to the sides towards the smiling man's presence.
"It's alright my love." Michael said quietly. "The nightmare won't last long."
Of course nothing was replied back. The only thing heard was the soft breathing of a sleeping body.
Eventually Michael leaned himself against the head of the bed frame, watching his husband closely for any signs of discomfort. Soon enough his eyes grew heavy and he drifted into a peaceful sleep.
Eheheeeee <3
He knew he had entered the room, he felt his presence as it sat next to his distressed sleeping self. He figured he could hear something but he couldn't quite make it out.
The pictures from his dream distracted him. It was terrible, scary even. A dream of his past, his family, his life before he died. It seemed to skip past most of the good moments and only play the bad.
In the morning he woke to the sunlight beaming down on the two sleeping figures on the bed. He blinked a few times before carefully rising up as to not disturb his husband who seemed to be still sleeping up against the headboard.
Eventually he got up and out of bed, walking to the closet and grabbing a sweatshirt. Pulling it over his head and down his body. The warmth spread across his upper half. He stood in the silence of the room staring into the closet for a few minutes.
Soon a heavy breath could be heard and the shifting of a body, careful steps walked towards Michael who was drooling slightly. A smile creeped onto his face as he gently moved the sleeping body into a more comfortable position. He murmured softly as he rolled over.
He chuckled at the sight. Shortly after observing Michaels sleeping self he moved away and towards the door, opening it quietly and slipping out while closing it gently.
"What are you doing?"
He screamed and whipped around to see a small girl standing in front of him. Bright green eyes staring up with curiosity.
"Jeez Liz don't go creeping up in me like that." Ennard grumbled. She smiled and laughed happily, looking amused.
"Sorry, are you coming to eat?"He nodded and sighed, stepping forward towards the kitchen. The young girl happily followed along with her smile wide and bright.
"Dad made some eggs earlier so you could heat the up if you want them. Or you could fry some bacon? I think we still have some left but if not you could make some toast or even a smoothie!" Elizabeth chatted on about things Ennard could eat for breakfast. He listened and nodded at times as they walked.
The two entered the kitchen, Elizabeth, who was still chatting her head off, sat at the table while Ennard headed over to the fridge. Searching the shelves he landed on some blueberries. Nothing else but blueberries.
He took the container and went to the sink, rinsing them off individually and placing them in a bowl.
Eventually he noticed that Elizabeth had stopped talking. Ennard turned his head towards her with raised eyebrows. Her green eyes were fixed in the doorway that leaded into the living room.
"You okay Liz?" He asked, popping a blueberry in his mouth.
"Mhm, where's Michael?"
"Asleep, I believe he stayed up late night helping Vincent with something."The young girl frowned slightly, seeming annoyed.
"What's the matter?" Ennard asked in between bites.
"I need his help with something, a project I want to start." She explained, her legs swinging from under the table. "Can I have a blueberry?"Ennard nodded and handed her the bowl.
"What sorta project is it?" He sounded curious since Elizabeth was quite a crafty person, just like her oldest brother."I want to make a little box to hold my craft things." She nodded towards Ennard and helped herself to some more blueberries, eating them happily.
"Oh that sounds fun"Elizabeth smiled while nodding again. Suddenly a faint sound of footsteps were heard from the hallway, slow and heavy. Both heads turned towards the door and watched as a body emerged into vision.
Ennard smiled at the sight of his husband walking in while yawning.
"Michael you're awake! I need your help with something." Elizabeth said happily. She jumped out of her seat and ran towards her big brother. Michael raised his eyebrows as he was now being dragged away with Elizabeth pulling his arm.
He looked at Ennard for help but his husband just shrugged. Ennard watched him amusement as Michael was leaving the room. Well more like being dragged. He chuckled and returned his focus back down to eating his blueberries.
