Highschool AU

As requested by my dear friend @Calicorn_Mer (They're amazing btw) its a Highschool AU! Sorry if it's a little trashy tho, still trying to figure everything out lol. 

Hades School for Boys. That was Nico's school. He hated every living moment of being there. The boys, the teachers and the atmosphere itself made him want to throw up. The only reason he was there was because his father was the principal of the school. Hades liked presentation, so the boys were made to wear scratchy, annoying uniforms and horrible shoes that nobody liked. Nico didn't have many friends anymore, and even his half sister barely spoke to him. After he had told his former crush, Percy, about his feelings, everyone had either ghosted him or ditched him. Most days he would roam around the school during lunch and skip meals because he would just forget to pack lunch.

However, when he walked into school on a random winter Tuesday, he was greeted with an unfamiliar face. He had golden curls, bright blue eyes and a face that could melt even the coldest of hearts. You're so gorgeous. Nico thought to himself. Nico realised he had been staring for a while, and he was about to walk into class when his father came up to him with golden boy and said to him in a stern tone "Nico. This is Will. He recently moved here from Texas. You will show him around and bring him to class with you. Do you understand?" Nico blinked, and before he could say anything, Hades trudged off back into his office. Will smiled at him and exclaimed in a rather loud voice "HI! I'm Will, well i mean you know that already but i um i really like frogs and i was hoping we could be friends because I um don't have any yet and you look super prett- i mean you look um um nice and-" Nico chuckled and said in a calm tone "Slow down there Will. My name is Nico and that was my dad who brought you over here. I'm 14 and i guess im showing you around"

 Will was surprisingly excited for school, well, more than a teenage boy should be. Over the days, Nico became more and more fond of the other boy. He sat with him for lunch under the shade of a tree, and Nico often caught himself staring at him for long periods of time in class, and when they were watching movies, his hand would "accidentally" touch Wills. It was perfect. Soon enough, he found himself falling deeply in love with Will. Months were going by with Nico's heart aching each time he saw him.

Nico kept his mouth shut though. He stayed quiet, enjoyed his time with Will, even if it pained him to see his face.

One day, on the last day of school, right before they were about to graduate, Nico cracked. He walked over to Will and promptly kissed him on the lips. No context. It was sweet, until Nico ran. He ran away from Will, from his friends, teachers, and parents. He ran, back home into his bed, and sobbed. He cried and cried until he had no tears left, and when he looked up, it was already 9pm. His father wasn't home yet and nor was his sister. He was alone. Suddenly, he heard a knock on his front door. He quickly walked over to open it, wiping the tears away from his eyes with his crumpled school shirt. The door opened, and Nico was greeted with Will's golden face. His golden eyes, golden curls, golden smile, he was perfect. No. Nico thought Don't think this way. He doesn't like you back. Will was the one to break the silence. "Haha.. hey Nico. I um- I just wanted to talk with you because you remember at graduation we were standing and you walked over to me and kissed me and then ran off before I could say anything? Well.. I like you too haha.." And with that, Nico pulled him down and kissed him.
