Ch 27: What if we really dated?

Mingi's POV:

"So... let's go" I said to her. "Where?" she asked. "The place you used to live before. I'm very curious" I said to her but she shrugged & walked along the footpath. I followed her.

After taking a few steps, she stopped in front of a flower boutique starring at some flowers. I followed her gaze to some tulips of different colors. Suddenly her phone rang & she excused herself to get it. She moved a few steps farther than me & in the meantime I went inside the boutique. "Oh! good morning~" I wished the florist in her late 40s or early 50s who was taking care of some flowers. "Good morning to you too, dear" she wished with a smile, "So which flowers would you like to take?" "May I have a flower crown of tulips?" I asked her. "Sure! Which colours do you prefer?" "Umm... Pink, white & purple" "Nice choice~ I will make that for you." She started collecting some cute baby tulips & some other kind of flower for details & started making it while I stood there admiring her artwork. "By the way, do you mind if I ask you who is it for?" she asked while making the crown. "It's for... For my girlfriend" I hesitantly replied. Why am I struggling to introduce her as my girlfriend? It's only for 11 days more. "Oh~ Where is she?" she asked while doing the detailed works on the crown. "She's outside... Getting a call. I... thought to surprise her" I said. "Do you know that tulips symbolize the perfect & deep love? You have chosen the right kind of flower for her" she said & checked her artwork once before handing it to me. "Here you go!" she said & I smiled at her. 

After paying, I came out & saw Hana still on her phone. I stood in front of her, pursing my lips & put the crown on her head. She got confused & put her hand on the crown, bringing it down to look at. She smiled & tried to put that back but failed so I adjusted it for her. She smiled at me widely that her eyes were almost closing. "I will talk to you-" I interrupted her by mouthing, "Finish your conversation." She looked at me with a small smile on her face. Suddenly her smile was replaced by horror that made me concerned too. "WHAT!!!?" she shouted & it caught me off guarded. "You- You-" she tried to say. Then her jaw dropped. "You don't remember his face? YOU MUST BE F*CKING KIDDING ME!!!" she shouted. Thank God that the road here has 2-3 people who are watching us. Or it would have been embarrassing. "Okay~" she said in a low tone & hung up, sighing very loudly in frustration. "Is everything okay?" I asked her. She glanced at me & then sighed again. "Shall we walk & talk?" she suggested. "As you wish!" I said & we walked side-by-side. "Oh! Before that, thanks for the crown~ How did you know that tulips are my favorite?" she said & smiled. "Umm... From the way you looked at them, maybe(?)" I said. Then we walked quietly, side-by-side with a silence eating us. 

"My bestie..." she broke the silence, "got drunk &..." she sighed again. I was listening to her quietly. "Then she made out with a guy but can't recall his face" she said & sighed again. "Which friend? Yuna?" I asked her & she nodded. "Woah~ She never looked like she is someone who can drink" I said with widened eyes. "Do I look like I can drink?" she asked & looked at me. I scanned her face once. "Nope-" she interrupted me, "I'm the heaviest drinker in my Canadian gang." My jaw dropped at her words & searching her eyes if that's a lie or not. But guess what! She is speaking the truth. "Now... what will you do for her?" I asked. "Thinking... I can't do anything for her by staying this far" she said & looked around. "I used to live in that house with my friends" she said eyeing on a two-storey house painted in white color. "Looks pretty aesthetic" I commented. There is a small garden in front of the house. Suddenly the door of the house opened revealing a man with great physique. He is almost 4 times of me.  "Oh sh*t! Let's go!" Hana said in low voice & pulled me by my arm. 

After crossing a few houses, we spotted an open field. It must be a children's playground. "We used to do barbeque parties here with the other people in this area" she said. "So that means this ground holds a lot of memories with your friends" I said & she nodded. "Shall we rest here a bit?" she suggested. "Okay then" I agreed. Then we sat at one corner of the ground enjoying the view around. There aren't many people around at this moment since it a weekday. We walked for a while & when it was lunch time, we got up to go back to hotel.

*At hotel room*

Hana's POV:

"Hey! You want to go for swimming in the pool?" he asked. "Umm... Okay!" I said & he rushed into the washroom to change. After he did, I went in with my swimwear.

Hana's swimsuit:

Before heading for the pool, sir, I mean Mingi, pressed the doorbell of Mr. San's room. He opened the door. "You want to join us for swim?" Mr. San asked before him. "I came here to invite you, brother" he said. "Wait a second then" he said & called Ms. Lena, "Lena baby~ Are you done?" "Let's go!" she said & also came out with a small tote bag like mine, not exactly same. We girls talked & went to the pool. The boys were following us. 

*At pool*

"I'm really not in the mood of swimming today but my grown-up man was whining since last night" Ms. Lena. I chuckled at her words. We were sitting with our feet submerged in the pool water, putting our sunglasses on while the boys went to have shower before diving. "By the way, we didn't see you in the morning today" she said. "Oh... We went to have breakfast somewhere else. Then we went to the place I used to reside some months ago before going back to Korea permanently" I replied. "Ooh~ A breakfast date... That sounds so romantic" she said & I chuckled again. "My man is such a bookworm. He brought 5 books with him to read during these days" she said & sighed with a small grin on her face. "San always told me how much romantic Mingi-ssi is. He always talked about how he would spoil his girlfriend or wife the most before dating you. You are very lucky!" she continued. My heart suddenly started to race. The way he held my hand this morning, took me somewhere beautiful to have breakfast just to avoid that creepy pervert, ordering couple breakfast & then taking that couple quote card also. Ah! The best part when he observed my gaze on tulips so keenly & understood that those are my favorites & even brought me a crown of tulips. I released a sigh hiddenly. 

They came after having shower, wearing half pants only & dove in the water right in front us. After raising their heads, they splashed water on us & laughed like kids. I wiped the water from my face so did Ms. Lena & noticed that I almost got wet. But my gaze was fixed on Mingi through the sunglass. "Now~ please don't give that sake of your 4th degree blackbelt" he said while giggling. I smiled back & shook my head lightly. What it would have been like if we actually dated?
