Dinner

I wake up in my room trying to think of what the heck happened last night then I remember that my dad told me about my mother wanted to come see me "great" I think. I get up and get ready for today first I go shower before I go to the sandlot.

After I get dress I go my hair and a little bit of makeup. I make my way to the kitchen to get some breakfasts before I head out there I see my stepmom "hey is Scotty still asleep?" I ask because I came to terms that it was quite in the house. "No ma'am he is at the sandlot he went very early this morning" she says as she is cleaning up the counters

'What the he went without me?' I think because usually he would tell me warn a homie or something.
Next thing I know my dad walks in the kitchen "hi dad" I say with a smile
"Hey liv I just wanted to let you know I am sorry for telling your mom yes I know you might not want to see her but it's Mother's Day tomorrow so why don't I take you shopping to go get some gifts?" He says with a soft smile
On one hand I am very much mad at my dad for saying yes before telling me anything
But SHOPPING? duhhh
"It's okay dad, and yes I would love for us to go shopping together" I say smiling I run upstairs to get my purse and my phone and when I look at it it has a bunch of messages

Benny⚾️💖- hey where are you?!
Benny⚾️💖- are you coming todayy?
Benny⚾️💖- smalls says you're still asleep are you coming when you wake up?

Sky ☁️ ✨- hii are you coming today to the sandlot?

Scotty 🙄- hey sis sorry your dad I mean my dad, our dad? Idk anyways said to let you sleep in so I just went to the sandlot without you but are you coming?

I had so much going on that I couldn't go to the sandlot so I texted everyone "Heyy sorry but I am not feeling well today so I thought I would stay home then get all of yall sick! But I'll be there tomorrow ✨" I hated lying to them but the truth about my mom is something I don't want to talk about.

Anyways I head down stairs to see if my dad was ready and I saw my step mom watching some show and drink some tea in the living room 'does she have any friends?' I think to myself "your dad is waiting for you in the car outside" she says still looking at her show "oh okay thanks" I say walking outside.

*AT THE MALL*

Me and my dad are walking around looking at different perfumes turns out he is also here to buy my step mom a present. As we were looking between some Marc Jacob's perfume and some channel one

"so who's that kid you walk with after you and Scotty come back from the sandlot huh?" My dad says "who? Sky? She is another girl who plays it's just me and her" I say with a smile trying to hide the fact my dad knows about Benny because I didn't think we would be having this conversation in the middle of a perfume section.

Back at my old hours my dad hated seeing em with boys he gave me this long talk on our way here about how I don't need any of these boys and wait till "they get older and turn into real men" but with Benny how can I not fall for him he is just so cute and amazing his eyes sparkle his hair is fluffy "Livy?" My dad says

"What?" I say with a confused but scared look "I said don't lie to me who is he?" He says with a more stern look "his name is Benny dad he plays baseball with me and Scotty he is like really really good" I say smiling "okay well if he is so good and you are speaking so highly of him invite him over for dinner tonight, your mom will be here in town tomorrow so tonight will be the only night that will work is tonight" he says "oh okay!" I say then I realize that I have to tell Benny about dinner so I take my phone out to text him.

Livy🎀✨: hii so uh my dad found out about you and like REALLY wants to meet you could you come by for dinner tonight?

*a couple minutes later*

Benny⚾️💖- WHAT why am I just finding out about this!? But yes I can come over

Yess! Benny can come over I tell my dad and he calls and tells my step mom.

We finish up our shopping and head home to prepare our house for dinner. I decide to change into something cute and do my hair

I decided to text Benny and see what he is up too

Liv🎀✨: hiii are you getting ready?

Benny⚾️💖: Heyy and yes I am I should be over in like 30 minutes I am fixing up my hair right now

Liv🎀✨: okayy DON'T BE LATE that would not be a good look

Benny⚾️💖: noted.

I decided to head down and wait for Benny to get here "hey Olivia can you come help set the table?" My stepmom asks "okay" I go and help set the table but then all of the sudden I hear a ring at the door 'could that be Benny? He said he wouldn't be here until later? Then thunder Strucks "is it raining?!" Scotty says running to window the door bell rings again my step mom tells "can one of yall go get that!!"

I pull out my phone to text Benny

Liv🎀✨: hey are you here?
* a couple minutes pass*

He hasn't answered and whoever is outside won't stop ringing the doorbell and knocking "please kids can one of y'all go open the door!" My step mom yells

I decided to go and open it, and when I do I gasp I see someone who I haven't seen before. "Mom?"
