"Have fun at school, sweetie." Caroline said as she kissed me on my cheek. "Your lunch in your bag."

I smiled as I hugged her.

"I'm sorry, okay. I'm sorry for saying..."

I put my finger on my lips, mimicking a 'be quiet'

I climbed unto the table and kissed her on her forehead.

"Hurry up, my sweethearts. Nick's got to go to work."

Carol took me off of kitchen table and I scurried to Nicholas' car.

When we reached, Nicholas ruffled my hair and told me, "Good luck , kiddo."

I ran into school and headed for the classroom.

Dear Diary,

That day was the day I made my first friend and my first enemy.

"Well if it isn't the freak show. You're here early." Alex called out, as her friends laughed and giggled.

I was tempted to tell her off, but then I remembered my pact. My pact of silence.

"Don't ignore me, you stupid girl."

I cringed. She sounded just like Alwin.

I was walking away when all of a sudden she pushed me down. "Don't walk away when I'm talking to you."

I landed on my back. Pain ricocheted throughout my spine as I struggled to get up. All of a sudden, a boy came out of nowhere and held out his hand.

At first I thought it was a trick, because a boy as gorgeous as that was never going to help me.

"Come on. Take my hand." He insisted. He turned to Alex and shot her a deadly look. He whispered something in her ear, and a look of fear crossed her face.

She rolled her eyes as she said, "Come on girls, nothing to see here. Let's go."

When I took his hand, he wrapped his arm around my waist and carried me to the nurse.

"My name is Tristan. I'm sorry about my sister. Please ignore her. Alex is just really annoying. What's your name?" He said, as we walked to the nurse's office.

He was her brother? On what planet?

I stared at him, blankly for a few seconds.

"Oh right I forgot. You're the new dumb girl."

I've only been here for a week and everyone knows my story. Wow.

I glared at him. "You're not dumb?"

I shook my head 'no'

"Do you want to be my friend?"

Do I really want a friend? After little thought, I shook my head yes.

"You still haven't told me your name."

I giggled and showed him my wrist. My silver bracelet glistened as the light shone on it.

"Well Dynami, we're going to be friends for a very long while."
