Noah P.O.V
When the day was over I was supposed to meet Cass at her house. She decided otherwise because she didn't want to see her parents. Honestly I think that they all have to confront their issues and get over themselves; but that's just me.When i reached the field, Cassidy was sitting on the field perked up against a goal post with her navy blue soccer ball by her side. Her face seemed to light up when she saw me.
The next hour was us just talking and passing the ball. Nothing special, or extravagant just simple and....honest. We shot on the goal for a while and then sat to take a break for a bit.
"Noah?" Cassidy began.
"Yeah?" I replied curious as to what she was going to say.
" Promise me something?" She gave me a look that suggested that she was insecure or almost shy. Real. The 'old' Cassidy Meyer.
"What's up?" I said facing her making sure she knew my attention was all hers.
"Promise me that no matter what we go through; you'll never leave me?" I was almost scared of what she meant by that. Even on the days that we come out here and she opens up to me it's never been like this. As if she was unsure of herself. Lost even.
"I promise Cassidy Aubrey Meyer... I'm yours." I yelled that as loud as I could making sure everyone heard me. I may have caused an old lady to think I was mental but at least Cass can be sure of one thing. That I'm never leaving her no matter how hard she try's to shoo me away.
We then started making our way over to my car to drive to our next stop. 'My' favorite place in the whole world. The used piano shop. I like to think that each one of those pianos have a story. Rather than the new ones that need their story to be written. I like to think that the pianos represent me in a way. Like they've been played and given a past that aligns their future. But once again; that's just me.
We walked into the piano shop together for the "one millionth" time. The owner and myself have developed some sort of arrangement so that I could come in there and just play the pianos to keep them in shape for a little longer. I even have my own key to the shop.
We stayed there as Cass sang as I played the piano and then we would switch and i'd make a fool of myself singing.
It was about 11:00 when we started to get tired so we loaded ourselves into my car as I drove us both to our houses. When we reached Cassidy's house she looked at me before she opened the door and we just sat there looking at each other for what felt like a million years, until her mom came out and started yelling at us. Something had gotten into Cassidy that day. Something new. So disregarding anything her mother was saying,
She kissed me.****************************************
Tell me what you thought of this chapter :) is this the way you thought things would turn out? Any-who let me know if you have any suggestions on how you want the story to go and I will put them to mind:) xoxo
