Chapter 4 - Aftermath

9 pm North of Tercia

"WHERE THE HELL IS SHE!" Nigel yells. Nolan avoids eye contact with the man before him. "I don't know, Sir."

"I warned you not to go anywhere near my daughter!" Nigel exclaimed. Nolan looked up and glared at his father, while Nigel returned the glance with disgust in his eyes.

He punched Nolan in the face and says:" If you don't tell me what you did to her I'll kill you myself". Nolan doesn't falter which infuriates Nigel so he keeps hitting him until Pierce intervenes. "Nigel, you'll kill him!"

Nolan is spitting out blood. Nigel looks at his guards and says, "Lock him up again." They each take one of Nolan's arms and drag him to the basement. Nolan doesn't struggle.

"It's been two days, where are you?" Pierce hands Nigel a handkerchief to wipe off the blood before handing him the phone which has started ringing.

Amir: "Did you find her?" "If I did I would have already told you", Nigel says slightly annoyed "She wouldn't have been able to escape if your hospital's security wasn't so bad." Amir says: "I have already apologized for what happened. I am reviewing the camera footage again."

He laughed, "Even though she lost her memory, our Ruby is still as bold as ever." Nigel sighed and asked, "When are you going to get here?" Amir replied, "I'll be there in about two hours."

"What about those two?", Amir asks. Nigel says:" Wyatt will arrive in 20 minutes, but Rome can't make it."

Amir sighs over the phone before asking Nigel: "Did you go through her Phone?" "That's the first thing I did", Nigel says, "I went through her searches she was looking for Motels nearby so I checked them out, but they didn't see her."

"Not only that I was notified that she withdrew 500.000 Rupens."

Amir was surprised by what Nigel told him: "So she tricked you?" Nigel remained silent. Amir changed the topic, asking, "What is she doing with all that money?"

Nigel: "I don't know." Amir worriedly says: "She must be desperate to get away, you have to get those twins under control." Nigel walks over to the Window and looks out.

"What about all the Hotels around?", Amir asks him. Nigel quickly answers: "They all tell me the same Damn thing, they haven't seen a girl with purple hair and blue eyes"

"....", Amir remained silent before yelling, "YOU IDIOT!" Nigel is taken aback "Why are you yelling at me?

"WHAT IF SHE CHANGED HER APPEARANCE!", Amir yells. Nigel doesn't say anything. Amir: "Nigel why are you so fucking dumb? Stay out of this and let Wyatt handle it. If she's still in Tercia, he'll find her."

Someone opens the door aggressively. Wyatt walks in and says: "The Tracker-" he gets interrupted by the portable "Davidson to Lennon Come in."

Wyatt presses the portable button and says, "This is Lennon, go ahead." Davidson responds, "We have cleared all lodges and pulled all the CCTV footage, Sir." Wyatt replies, "Head west, over." Davidson affirms with "Copy that."

Amir is confused and asks, "What's going on?" "Wyatt just walked into my office."

Amir says: "I'll call you later", and hangs up."Wyatt, did you find her?" Nigel asked. He ignores his question and says: "The tracker that you mentioned months ago, what happened to that?"

Nigel looks away and quietly mumbles: "I forgot to install it."

"Hart to Lennon" Wyatt presses the Button on the portable and says: "This is Lennon"  "Sir, Need Immediate Assistance North at Valor Hotel", Hart says hastily, "Sir we have a 10-71, 51, and a Hostage over." Wyatt replies with: "10-4!"
