Chapter 13 - The Business

A woman who in her thirties is walking the Hospital Garden. She finds a bench and decides to sit on it. She starts hearing sobbing, she gets off the bench and looks around but doesn't see anyone.

So she starts heading in the direction of the noise. She looks to her left and finds a girl behind a big tree burying her head in her knees and crying.

The girl is wrapped in multiple bandages. And stitches on the right side of her Head.

"What's wrong sweety? Why aren't you in your Room?" The girl flinches and stops crying.

The Woman waits for the girl to say something but she doesn't. She crouches down next to the girl, after a few minutes in silence, the girl looks up at the Woman. Her blue eyes are red and swollen from crying.

The Woman reaches her Hand to the girl's face. She flinches again. "Why is she flinching so much?" The woman thought. She wipes her tears.

"RUBY", Someone yells, "WHERE ARE YOU!?" The woman looks behind her but doesn't see anyone because of the flowers, she looks back at the girl.

The Girl looks angry and sad. "Are you Ruby?" The Woman asks. Ruby nods her head. "Why are you crying, Ruby?"

"I was in a Car accident...," Ruby starts crying again ", Angelo is gone... and I couldn't do anything."

The Woman hugs her and says: "Im so sorry. No one should go through that, especially a child." Ruby stops crying and hugs her back.

She lets go of Ruby and pats her Head. "How old are you?", she asks Ruby.

"Im 13... what about you?"

The Woman smiles sweetly at Ruby.

"Im 43, and my Name is Esmeralda Marchetti you can call me Esme."

"Wake up Ruby," Lyle whispers.

She opens her eyes to see Lyle lying next to her. (Esmeralda Marchetti how is she related to Riccardo?And why did this idiot wake me up.) "Hey, why'd you wake me up", she asks.

Lyle: "We have our first business meeting today remember." Rudbeckia looks at his attire. He's wearing a black suit with a white shirt and black pants.

"Ugh," she groans.

"Come on get up," Lyle says while slowly pushing her out of the Bed. She grabs the bedsheets so she doesn't fall.

He pulls off the blanket and says: "Let me take a look." Ruby raises one eyebrow confused. "You're Leg."

She sits up and shoves her Left Loot in his Face. Lyle frowns and twits her Foot a little.

Rudbeckia: "Ah ah ok ok Im sorry." "Put your feet in my face again and see what happens," he says.

He pulls her pajama bottoms up and unwraps the bandage while she closes her eyes and yawns. (Yesterday was crazy. I keep finding things out of place. The soul-switching thingy must have changed a lot of the original script.)

"What the fuck?" Ruby opens her eyes, looks at Lyle confused, and says: "What?" He grabs her leg and raises it a bit so she can take a look. (Oh how do I explain this? I can't, I don't even know how this happened myself.)

Lyle: "There's no trace of any injury. How is that?"

Rudbeckia: "I have no clue. It was still there yesterday"

Lyle runs his hand through his Hair. "How the Fuck can this be explained, a wound doesn't disappear in 2 weeks!"

"I don't know I swear," Rudbeckia says as she raises her Hands in surrender.
