Windclan's Hope

Chapter 14

Squirrelpaw crept to the front of the den before darting across to the spare den. "Talonpaw, come with me. Riverclan is around and I hear Splashstar from Thunderclan. Ill lead you to the edge of the territory to get your clan. Seedstalk, you ready to fight?" She mewed quickly. "Im ready." Seedstalk purred, flexing his claws. "Wait until they get into camp, crouch at the edge of the den and hide your eyes." She said. She ripped some bushes away from the back of the den and leapt out with Talonpaw. She led the quick tom down the moor and passed three patrols with mixed scents of Thunderclan and Riverclan. "You can get to your camp?" She asked, halting. "Yes, ill bring two patrols." He said, not stopping. Squirrelpaw twitched her whiskers and turned to go back. She heard Splashstar and Ravenstar's battle cries. Squirrelpaw threw herself into the dark hollow and on top of a large jet black tom. He smelled of Thunderclan. She bit down on his scruff and hauled him off of Sheepfur. She saw Seedstalk's fur flash in her eyes. "This one is mine." He snarled and crashed into the black tom. Squirrelpaw leapt down and joined Redcall, Haresprint and Graytooth into fending off two warriors of Riverclan.
Squirrelpaw leapt onto Brackentail, her claws connecting with his ears. Blood splattered everywhere. She felt claws rip her back and she twisted, meeting Branchfur's face with claws. SHe felt Lionstride's familiar strength in her muscles. She leapt sideways, landing on her front paws and meeting Brackentail's chin with her back legs before landing on them and rearing, attacking Branchfur. The two were stunned, backing up into the battle. "When will Shadowclan get here?" Whiteclaw shrieked. Seedstalk slammed his paws down on the black tom's muzzle, sending him running for the exit. "So long, Blacktuft." He spat. Squirrelpaw looked at them, realizing how similar the toms were before Blacktuft was out of sight. "Behind you!" She warned as Branchfur came barreling back down into the slope. A second patrol hounded the camp.
She turned as Talonpaw let out a cry, two large shadowclan patrols came into camp along with Stemnose and Turtleheart. She leapt into battle beside Talonpaw, rearing tail-to-tail with him and batting away newcomers. She leapt onto Branchfur who had been driven away by Seedstalk. The tom moved quickly and cleverly around the battle, she noticed he was faster than his clanmates. Talonpaw too. Squirrelpaw tackled Branchfur, biting her shoulder in anger. She rolled the Riverclan cat over and clawed her ears and face. Branchfur shrieked and left camp for good. Squirrelpaw followed her onto the moor before being tackled by another cat. Splashstar. Anger flared in her eyes. "You were friends with Bramblestar and now you turn on her clan. What friends." She hissed. She twisted, using the move Bramblestar had showed her. Squirrelpaw reared under the tom's belly but was confused when he slammed down on her shoulders. She saw Talonpaw slink behind the Thunderclan leader and yank him off of her. Squirrelpaw twisted again and helped Talonpaw send the leader rolling back into camp. Luckily, he landed in Seedstalk's claws. "Stemnose is under attack by Ravenstar!" Talonpaw yowled.
