1 | IN THE GRASP OF DEVIL

Heaven was walking down the streets, just done with the grocery shopping which her mom sent her for. She wanted to reach home as fast as possible as she didn't want to miss her favorite football match so, she decided to take a short cut.

She walked in an empty alley, after walking for few seconds, she could see a gang along with a tall man standing, in the between who seem to be their boss, splattered with red liquid and a gun in his hand.

He sighed as he saw her "Shit......well, too bad, sweetheart...." it was the last thing she heard before she got hit with a bat by one of his men.

Heaven slowly opened her eyes as a groan escaped her lips, a feeling of disorientation clouding her mind. Where am I? The last she remembered was a terrifying encounter in the alley. With a flutter of eyes, a grand and lavish room came into her view.

She scrambled to sit upright, her mind racing with questions and fears. The room was completely silent, adding to the tension that gripped her heart.

Who brought me here? Was it those people from the alley?

She froze as the doorknob turned, a heavy silence hanging in the air. Her heart hammered in her chest as the tall menacing figure of a man walked into the room. His face unreadable, only his cold, hard eyes giving away his presence.

Heaven gulped before gathering her courage and ask, "Why am I here?" The man paused for a moment surveying her with a calculating gaze before finally speaking in a low, measured tone "You are here for number of reasons, but primarily for two."

He stepped closer, his expression remaining unchanged "First, you're a valuable commodity.......and second reason - you saw too much in that alley. You witnessed a murder scene" He stabbed his finger into her direction.

Shock and confusion etched onto Heaven's face. "See-e... sir, I am extremely sorry for witnessing your........b-business. But I ensure you, I'll never say anything about it to anyone. can I please leave now?" she asked with mix of tone - hesitant and fear.

That man studied your face a moment longer, weighing his option before bursting into a booming laughter and replied "Leave? I'm sorry, that's not an option" He moved closer, towering over her. She shivered at his words "What-t does that mean?" She asked, her throat dried cause of the anticipation.

"It means you're not going anywhere" That man replied, a sinister smirk playing on his lips. "You're far too valuable to let go now. And I have.... ways of ensuring your silence."
