"Sorry, it's a bit messy in here

"Sorry, it's a bit messy in here." You said as you opened the door and took off your shoes as soon as you entered. "I tend to be since I live alone."

Josuke looked around, slightly in awe. It was the first time he'd visited you, after all. "I didn't know that you lived alone." He said as you led him into the living room, which was connected to the kitchen by a gap in the wall. He plopped down on the cozy couch. "It's not even that messy. If I lived alone, it would look a lot worse." He mumbled out with his eyebrows drawn together. "It's not that I like it that way or anything either. It annoys me immensely, but it kind of just happens."

A slight smile spread across your face as you placed a small plate on the counter. "I totally understand." You replied as you crushed a few pills into powder with a fork to mix it with the cat food. "So, Baby is either very sassy or very affectionate with others. That kinda depends on whether she likes you or not." You explained as you put the plate on the floor to call the old cat.

It didn't take long for her to come through the open patio door. You still didn't know how exactly she heard the plate touching the floor every time.

"Baby?" Josuke asked with a grin as he watched the animal. "That's cute."

You scratched your cheek a little shyly. "Yeah, I got her as a present when I was very little, and she was still a baby back then. So I just started calling her that, and then it just kinda stuck, I guess." You told him and spoke while stroking her fur with your hand. "It's usually pretty quiet here with only her and me around. Apart from the radio, there's not much noise but this...stand?" You said the word questioningly and continued when you got a nod from him. "They appear quite randomly and sometimes cause a bit of chaos."

Josuke looked a little worried. "I hope it's nothing too bad. Otherwise, I have someone I know. Maybe he could give you some tips or something?"

You shake your hand as you continue to stroke Baby's fur from your position on the floor. "They're okay, really. Still haven't figured out what they really do, though. Like, didn't you say that they had some kind of ability?"

He nodded and leaned back a little further while watching you. "Yeah, I'm sure you'll find out soon enough."

"Hmm. What can yours do?"

For some reason, Josuke felt self-conscious out of nowhere. He hesitated a little with his answer because he couldn't find the right words to describe his stand as cool as possible. "It's not that special. He just breaks things and then puts them back together again."

That seemed to remind you of something. "I broke my favorite cup the other day." You just said and stood up to get it.

Josuke just nodded and then held his face in his hands to hide his smile. He was happy that he could help you with his stand. Can't believe such a simple thing made my heart beat faster. I'm so pathetic, ugh.

The Day After...

You looked a little confused at the piece of paper in your hand every now and then. When your eyes looked around the schoolyard, you finally spotted the two boys you had been looking for. "Hey, you guys. You didn't happen to see Koichi today, have you?" You asked rather anxiously, which wasn't necessarily reflected in your facial expression, but in your tone.

The two greeted you somewhat somberly, and Josuke shook his head. "No. No one's seen him since last night. We're assuming he was kidnapped by Yukako since she also didn't show up today..."

That really didn't sound good. "I feared that something like that might have happened." You spoke up and showed them both the piece of paper in your hands that you had found hanging on your bedroom door this morning.

Something was written on it in red letters. Stay away from my man bitch. Okayasu felt a chill run down his spine as he read it and every possible horror scenario started running through his mind. "Oh my God, was that written with blood? Do you think she killed someone? Don't tell me it's from Koichi!"

You quickly reassured him. "Don't panic. It's not." and he took a deep breath at that. Before Josuke could ask you how you could be so sure, you lifted your sleeve to reveal a fat bandage. "Because I'm pretty sure it's mine."

After you said those words, it felt like both boys' eyes popped out of their heads. Crazy Diamond appeared swiftly behind Josuke while he gently grabbed your injured arm to slowly remove the bandage. "I can't believe this. Did she do something else? Why didn't you call me?"

You wondered inwardly for a moment what he wanted to do until you realized that his stand had the ability to fix things. Wait, does that mean he can fix my arm, too? "I would've done that, except I didn't realize anything took place until I woke up. i'm not really sure how it happened, but I don't even want to know if I'm being honest. I'm just glad nothing happened to Baby."

Hm. Somehow, that sounded a lot crazier now that you'd said it out loud. Okuyasu looked at you with several question marks around him. "Baby? You have a child?" He asked you, looking at you with narrowed eyes.

You shook your head. "A cat, actually. Her name is Baby."

Josuke spoke up after your arm was okay again. "Stop making small talk. I'm really pissed off." You could see it on his face. "We really need to find out where they are." His gaze then turned to you. It annoyed him immensely that even though he had taken measures, something like this happened. "You'd better stay out of this. Things could get ugly, and you still don't know what your stand can do."

Of course, you were worried about Koichi, but you hadn't really planned on getting involved in this mess anyway. It was scary enough to find out that someone had broken into your house during the night to hurt you without you even knowing about it. This Yukako or whatever wasn't someone you wanted to mess with - you weren't the type to mess with anyone.

So you just nodded. "I feel bad that you're on your own, but I trust that you'll be able to handle the situation." You said. Asking the police for help is useless, I guess. "Text me when things have cleared up."

You felt a little awkward and didn't really know what else to say. You were completely useless, so you didn't want to be a burden to them. Though, at the same time, you wanted to know if they were okay or not. With Josuke's healing powers, I don't really have anything to worry about.

And yet you were worried.

Okayasu noticed your gloomy expression and gave you a broad smile while he patted you on the back comfortingly. Maybe a little too hard. "Don't worry about it! It's two against one. That psycho bitch won't stand a chance once we find out where they're hiding." He assured you and then thought about his statement for a few seconds longer. "...or maybe it's even three to one if Koichi is still alive."

Oh, boy.
