Michaels POV
It has been a few weeks since everyone found out about Wren's dad. He has been going through chemo and has been getting better. Me and Wren are still going on strong as well as Kate and Matthew and Chelsea and Ryan."What's up?" Wren asks me as I sit down next to her on the couch.
I grab her waist and she hugs me.
"I've just been thinking, what's going to happen when we go to school?"
She looks at me and asks what I mean.
"I mean, are you going to start liking other guys now that you have had a chance with me?" I ask.
Her face goes from shocked to angry.
"Do you honestly believe that after all this time, I would leave you for some other guy?"
I can tell by her tone that she is far more angry than she is letting on. I shrug and she gets up.
"If you believe that than maybe we shouldn't be together."
Before I can respond, she walks out of the room.
"Kathwren, wait." I call after her.
I follow her upstairs but she locks her door before I can get in.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." I beg.
"Go away." Is all I get.I sigh and walk down the hall.
"Trouble in paradise?" Mason asks.
"Ohh, shut up." I scoff. He smirks and I chuckle sarcastically.
"You know even though she is mad, that doesn't mean she doesn't love me. Real couples got through this all the time."
"Real couple? You have been dating for a month and you are already in a fight. Do you really believe that you'll make it longer?"I glare at him and nod.
"Yea, I do. And that's all that matters."
I stomp downstairs and walk out the back door. The beach is calm today. No tourists and no birds. Nothing but the waves. How could I have asked her that? If anything I should've asked myself that even though I know the answer. I won't leave her; I couldn't. Not after all we've been through. Right now, all she needs is someone to hold her and tell her everything is alright. After walking for a while, I turn back and decide I should talk to her.
"What are you doing out here?" I hear a voice ask me.
Ryan is walking towards me.
"Me and Wren got in a fight. I needed to do some thinking."
"Are you breaking up with her?" He asks.I shake my head no and look at him.
"I love her."
He nods and I chuckle.
"So, you and Chelsea?"
"Yea. She is amazing." He nods.
"Can you believe that we are dating them?" He asks laughing.I laugh to but then become serious.
"Yea, I can. We got lucky."
"Yes, we did." He agrees. We both walk back and he goes to look for Chelsea while I go up to find Wren.
"Kathwren?" I call her.
I knock on the door and get no answer. I open it and she is sleeping. I lie next to her and she unconsciously cuddles up to me. She wakes up and pushes me away.
"I'm sorry. You're right, I should've known better. And right now I shouldn't be thinking about my feelings, I should be thinking about yours. You need some one to lean on and that will forever and always be me."
I can see the tears gather in her eyes and she hugs me.
"Did you write a script because that was perfect?" She giggles, still crying.
I laugh and shake my head. She lays back down and so do I. Soon she is back asleep cuddled up in my arms and I couldn't be happier.
"Michael!" Someone whispers from her door.
Chelsea is motioning me towards her. I slowly get up and walk to her, shutting the door on my way out.
"What?" I ask.
"Tomorrow is Kathwren's birthday."My eyes go wide and she pulls me down the stairs.
"She always said she wanted a surprise party but she always planned ahead so that was never possible."
"But she has been so busy with her dad that she hasn't even brought it up." I finish for her.She nods and we head to town to get party materials. Tomorrow is going to be amazing.
